I don't mean to be a stick in the mud but it worries me the idea of using almost a body building mentality 'force' to improve.
Wouldn't it cause tension having to exert your fingers like this?
I wonder if anyone here has used or uses one?

Having a break from online activity for a while to concentrate on music. Please email if you need to get in touch. Matt

Actually, the human body was designed to adapt to the work it is asked to do. You could tire out your hand, but not damage it. Over time it can do nothing but improve your hand strength.rice_pudding wrote:after all too much exercise could damage your hand.
I've got one, and it has helped. I use it predominately to strengthen my ring and pinky fingers. Five minutes a day is plenty,
I think strength training the hands with the Gripmaster or even squeezing a raquet ball helps in keeping the bulk of the hand muscles in shape. Certain types of music like thrash and death metal pretty much demand this kind of exercise since they rely heavily on endurance.
Oh bring me some CHUNKY PUDDING, and bring it RIGHT NOW!!!
