OK Kelly, I'm not trying to bust your balls, but this was EXACTLY my point to Romeorose when he wanted me to copy that DVD you made for those who helped you out, as a thank you! Although most didn't do it expecting anything, we did have a lot of respect for it, and felt that handing out cheapened the meaning behind it, much like your statement above. You stated that no thing should be withheld from true RR fans, but in a way, isn't this doing the same thing, even if the intentions are honorable? Not critising, just playing devil's advocate, because the entire area 51 debacle at tk, started out in a similar vein, and was not meant to be a divisor, but a thankyou of sorts, since at the time, webhosting and more specifically, bandwidth, was very, very expensive(most people either forget about this, or were not around to realize it), and the files would have cost a fortune to have them available for just anyone to download. Do not get me wrong! I want you to share more stuff, and I think it's great you are making the effort.krgarni wrote:Sometimes when you pay for something, you have alot more respect when you use the service. Free things are always subject to abuse. No one has anything to lose.
Regardless of how the subscription thing works out, I hope one way or another, your charity idea is a smashing success, and that more RR material will continue to surface

*edit*just saw the subscription price was lowered. I think that's a good thing, and will probably further help your cause. I hope sometime in the not so distant future, I can help as well.
Have you also considered taking donations of actual equipment, new or used? I'm pretty sure with all the musicians that will likely be viewing the forum, there will be some good equipment that could be donated. Not sure how that would work out, non-profit, tax wise, but it's a thought.
