Just found out this sad news on the Gibson forum. I know he had a long life, but still sad. He'll be missedx

Im bot a guitarist so I hope I don't sound stupid, was the guitar designed for him or did he have somthing to do with the design?

He also developed the first 8 track recording machine, and of course he was a great and influencal guitarplayer too!

You're right Rob, he had a good run didn't he. To keep playing right up to the end too shows the life force must have been strong in him. Also he achieved what he was meant to do and wasn't struck down by illness like many people are in this world, thank you Lester xxxrice_pudding wrote:Well, he'll never be forgoten! He kept doing what he loved, he lived a long healthy life from what i know and was able to make a successfull living out of his passion and he left a great legacy!
i dont think anyone could be disapointed to live such a life
