I'm so bummed. I met Les in 92, he signed my Les paul. Real nice guy. I'm watching my Les Paul dvd "Chasing Sound" right now. I highly recommend it, it'll tell you anything and everything about Les. Extremely inspiring! RIP Les, I love ya man!

Everything! He is the designer of the Gibson Les Paul guitar!
(one of the first solid body electric guitars)

He also developed the first 8 track recording machine, and of course he was a great and influencal guitarplayer too!

You're right Rob, he had a good run didn't he. To keep playing right up to the end too shows the life force must have been strong in him. Also he achieved what he was meant to do and wasn't struck down by illness like many people are in this world, thank you Lester xxx

He created a legend, of himself and of the solid body electric guitar that bares his name. He even changed the face of how music was to be recorded. RIP Les, and thanks.
