I think it is the 18th or 19th paragraph down in this article by a San Bernardino Newspaper, "Inland Empire Weekly", Titled "Colossus of Rhoads", which clearly states that contrary to popular belief, the Osbourne's did not pay for the Mountain View Encasement.

Even the whole Randy slept with Sharon thing is ridiculous, after Sharon stated that in many interviews, she kept wafflling around it, even getting to the point where she was saying that Ozzy was attracted to him physically. Believe me when I say, Randy had much more attractive options, including his Jodi.
I don't doubt that the Osbourne's had a hand in the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" achievement for Randy. Connections are a plus as we all know. But as well ,I remember people posting here questioning some photos of Delores handing Sharon a note or card, and whether or not there were any hard feelings between them. To be honest, Delores is a very gracious person, and it would be in her nature to be thankful that her son was remembered in this way. As well grateful, that Ozzy and Sharon helped that along. It does not erase the fact, which even Ozzy, on countless occasions, has admitted, "Randy was the best thing that had ever came into his life!"
All of this is as ridiculous as saying, Ozzy, composed, and wrote all the lyrics for the two most famous, and influential albums of that era. Obviously, Randy, Lee and Bob were just Ozzy's side kicks, Ehhhhhhh! If you believe that I guess you would believe anything Sharon has to say. I guess Sharon could also take the credit for Randy's unmatched virtuoso abilities. So I guess Sharon must have "discovered" Randy.
We know that Ozz has benefited financially from that, but we also know, that artistically, performing and writing wise, neither Bob or Lee gained or received proper royalties. I wish the Osbourne's would post on here or document in a newspaper, exactly what royalties have been paid to the Rhoads family estate. That would clear the air would it not? Blunt, yes I am! Randy and his family are good people! Sometimes the good in people is too good!
