That's really quite amazing. Have you ever heard the tribute band called Atomic Punks play eddie's stuff? David Lee Roth borrowed their guitarist at the time (2002) for the Sammy Hagar/Roth tour. I was just floored. He was insanely accurate to the early material. Go to youtube.com and check it out. Makes you wonder why noone can really write that kind of material though many guitarists have the skill to copy it almost verbatim...

Yeah, that whole band is very good!
But only one little thing though, the guitarsound.... Ed's early Marshall sound was and is still unique. Compare any of the early VH stuff. For instance the intro of "Unchained".

What suprises me is that even after almost 30 years this solo sounds still fresh and modern. It's really a monumental solo! Maybe one day it will be remembered among some famous classical pieces from composers like Bach, Beethoven etc..
