Alright, I was inspired by someone to create my own music and I've done so.
Mainly, my music is very simple yet nicely done to the point and it's also improvisational. Most of what I've done is one take and one take only, I honestly don't think I can create something and remember exactly where "this" was or when to do "that", but for what it's worth, those single takes did nicely.
I've never had any guitar lessons (maybe taken a few possible stabs at an online lesson, but it doesn't do any good for me. But, I'm mainly self taught to a degree, but when I try, I try my best. Since I can't truly play guitar, I've managed to use my guitar to create an abundance of sounds by using effects (provided by GuitarFX) and just do what I do.
Anyways, I managed to create an "EP" of sorts if you will, called "Winter" which I'm quite proud of. It's 5 songs, 10 minutes long and I'm really proud of it.
I have it here for download. There's notes there to read (should do that first )

Now, I recently (about a month ago or so) created a track that could be classified as film music, but then also as drone or electronic. Either way, I'm very proud of it, and glad I made it. The link for it is below, the name is in working.

Now, I'm working on having three more of the "EP"s. The next is Spring, then Summer, then Autumn. I have it classified as:
Spring - serene and upbeat
Summer - rocky and experimental
Autumn - laidback and cool
Winter - dark and calm
So, I'm working on Spring, but I'm having trouble figuring out what to do. But in the mean time, hope you enjoy what I've done.
My music
Moderators: Randy Perry, The Flying Dutchman, Stiltzkin, skezza, Trigger
I was gonna wait for Spring to be completed but since the people who I asked to help me with two parts are taking their sweet time on not doing it, I want to share a song that I made some time ago. I find it beautiful, and I hope you do too.

Hi Rick
That was very atmospheric and unusual. Nice and refreshing to hear someone writing as a composer and not as a guitarist.
It is an obvious thing to say maybe, but it really screamed film music!
Who are your influences for writing like this?

Having a break from online activity for a while to concentrate on music. Please email if you need to get in touch. Matt
Well, which is it? Winter? Well, I mainly have electronic influences (and I don't mean house music or recent electronic, I mean 70s.) Klaus Schulze would be to blame for a track I created, that I still think is my best work, which is down here. I don't have a name for it yet, but I'm wanting to put it in Summer.Matthew wrote:Hi Rick
