The first time I heard something of Chuck was when they did cover 'Painkiller', great version! But never been into his music that much. Nice instrumental for sure!
I recently saw an interview with him on Youtube, it's funny because he comes over as a very nice and friendly guy, yet when he hits the stage his voice is so agressive.
That contrast is really fascinating.
Randy was bit like that as well I guess, that "Jekyll & Hyde" is applicable for Chuck as well. Too bad he is not with us anymore......

Chuck Schuldiner is a great guitarist. Im not going to say 'was' because his recordings still carry his legacy.

This song was written specifically for Randy, and it has Chuck on lead.
Here's the story behind it.
Craig Sease wrote:I FIRST MET CHUCK IN LATE 1995 THROUGH KELLY CONLON. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF GOING TO HIS HOME SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS TO LISTEN TO HIM PUT THE CONTROL DENIED PROJECT TOGETHER WITH MY FRIENDS CHRIS WILLIAMS, SCOTT CLENDENIN AND SHANNON HAMM. THEY WERE TRULY TIMES I'LL NEVER FORGET! IN LATE 1996 CHUCK HELPED ME RECORD A SONG I WROTE A FEW YEARS EARLIER NAMED HARDLY A DAY GOES BY WHICH WAS A TRIBUTE TO RANDY RHOADS. HE SPENT ALL DAY HELPING CHRIS SCOTT AND I RECORD THE BASIC TRACKS. THEN CHUCK SPENT 3 HOURS WRITING AND RECORDIND THE LEAD SOLO. IT IS TRULY A MASTERPIECE. CHRIS PASSED AWAY LAST YEAR AND NOW CHUCK HAS LEFT US. IT'S REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT SUCH WONDERFUL PEOPLE AS WELL AS MUSICAL TALENTS HAVE LEFT US ALL TOO SOON. CHUCKS GENEROSITY AND HARD WORK ON MY SONG IS SOMETHING I WILL TREASURE ALL MY LIFE. HE WAS REALLY PROUD OF THE WAY IT TURNED OUT. ANYONE INTERESTED IN HEARING THE SONG CAN CONTACT ME. THANK YOU CHUCK FOR MAKING ONE OF MY MOST PRIZED POSSESSIONS COME TRUE. IT WAS AN HONOR TO KNOW YOU. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND... CRAIG SEASE, TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA 01/04/02 02:04:30 AM
