Chicago

Just wanted to point out the anniversary of a great show in Chicago today, that thankfully someone filmed a bit of. It's hard to believe this show happened 26 years ago. Have a good one.

it would be great if it turned up one day. And seeing as it was filmed on film it would still be in good condition (presuming it exists)

You've got to think there's more to the show somewhere. Kind of a morbid thought, but I often wonder how much footage or audio was lost or sits dormant because the filmer/taper passed away.

I think that was cropped before it was let out, and more of it is out there, Also even if it's all of the show we have it is the last in concert video we have of Randy.
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

it may have been cropped, certainly id like to think so. But this was shot on super 8 as far as i know. Casseste for super eight are small, you would need several to film an entire rock show. The other tapes, assuming they exist, could have been lost or might have jamed in the mag/ had development problems etc.

You would assume of course that the person filming would have realised that and thus would have taken more cartiridges. Super 8 cameras are easy to use and considering the results we've seen are ok quality the others are almost certainly the same. it seems likely more of the show exists, unless the person filming was a dumbass :D

what is the total running time of the footage?

I tried to discover where these came from but found little useful information.

In the 21st century there are millions of people with digital cameras. And, it makes me mad  to know that most of the guitarists today have tons of video of their "work". Their content is weak while todays video technology is strong. Hendrix somehow got filmed and video-taped much more than Randy. We at least have hours of tremendous audio that capture his impromptu live guitar in concert. Yet, I am still

It bugs me that it took so long for Ozzy to be filmed at concert (The MTV with Brad Gillis). You would think after Ozzy left Sabbath and started a new solo project, Randy winning the Best New Talent award, and releasing two albums, some sort of TV crew or something like that would want to film Ozzy as soon as possible.

I believe it was just to get a buzz for the upcoming show. I know they were broadcast live on the radio too. All I can say is thank god they did, because it's the best we've got for now.
