Spinal Tap

Post by Paul Wolfe »

So, I'm watching TV this morning when an American Express credit card commercial comes on... in the background is a familiar song... it took a minute but I realized it was Gimme Some Money, originally performed by The Thamesmen in 1965 before they changed their name to Spinal Tap.

Funny Stuff!

That song used to crack me up, when they released the movie 'This is Spinal Tap' I went to see it 4 times at the cinema
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

Now that we got our 47" tv, with the Bose entertainment system, I think that movie would sound really good! \

I saw This is Spinal Tap in the theaters back in the day too Ian. However, when me and two of my friends went to see it... there was only one other person in the theater. Four people... it was a tailor made Spinal Tap crowd,

i think only musicians 'get it' randy. i've seen band-mates get hysterical over parts while non-musicians give blank looks.

Yep same here! everytime I saw it :? I agree with Frank as well, if you were not in a band you wouldn't have understood all the cliche's. So many comedians site this film as the best comedy film ever made 8) can you remember when the Bass player was going through USA airport security? that part killed me and if you haven't seen it I won't spoil the surprise

Wayne's World was much the same in that respect. My wife loves that movie, but laughs at different parts than I do.

Waynes world II was even better

I do still quote that movie in life... and yes, no one ever knows what I'm talking about.

What I thought was one of the silliest parts was the drummer dying in the "bizzare gardening accident." But the part about "dusting for vomit" was pretty good too.

Well apparently the drummer dying because of vomit, was based on John "Bonzo" Bonham, still a good gag non the less!
