No simon, the green is Sarah's room.

Shaun, my 13 year old picked out that green. We really didn't think
that it was going to be that loud.
That green, and the white door, we won't need a light! It practically glows-in-the-dark! The appliances are in the house, but not installed. Mike is going to have a "few" choice words with our contractor. He still has work to do, and we haven't seen him in two weeks.
I could post pics of my "the furniture we want" up. I'll do that later.
BTW, the master bedroom:

The room color is peach despite what Mike says. he says it's pink...

No, we did ceramic tile throughout the house, except for the girls bedrooms, where we will put in carpet. I did want to do wood floors like the house originally had, but if the house got flooded again, the floors would get ruined.

I can't believe what the stupid kitchen place did! When they installed the cabinets, the hardware for the cabinets (handles), were on backorder. The samples weren't even available for the man to pre-drill the holes, so when the handles did come in, we could've installed them.
Well, today then man came to put on the handles, and the idiots ordered a different set of handles for my pantry than the rest of the cabinets! HOW stupid can these people be?? Why in the hell would I order 2 different styles? The only thing that was different, was that they pantry door was a little longer. Dumbasses!

Thanks Sara. Ceramic tile IS NICE!!! As for the handle mix-up, nothing phases me when it comes to contractors making dumb mistakes. I have a few good friends who do home building and remodeling and they tell me all sorts of horror stories. Good luck!!

Mike finally got the toilets today. Saturday we will get the water heater. Monday, the banker will inspect the house to give us the remainder of our money. As soon as that happens, we will get the furniture, and move in! So, it's possible that I could be living in my house by the end of the month. Keep fingers crossed!

OK, now I'm PISSED! The cabinet guy showed up today to put on the handles that should go on my pantry. NO SCREWS! So, now they have to order 2 more handles and 4 screws.
Here is what the cabinets look like with the handles:

up close of the handles:

Well, here are the appliances before installation:
washer & dryer:

refridgerator:

oven:

And just to keep things interesting, my girls took a picture of the cat:

Hopefully, the contractor will have the things installed by the time I get home from work tomorrow!
He still needs to fix the roof above my laundryroom, as we found out that it still leaks:

Image
The discoloration on the wall is where it leaked.
So now he has to tear that wall out, pur up new sheetrock, then paint it. Which means probably another week of the laundrymat!!!
And just think, hurricane season starts Friday, June 1!!

Have a look at my "future" furniture. IF I ever get them:

I couldn't get the master bedroom photo to come out. It was actually just a picture of the name and the price of the whole set.

Maybe, one day, I'll eventually get to enjoy it. I got paranoid today, and got two plastic totes from Target, so that in case I have to "head for the hills", I'll be able to put my collectibles in it, and go.
