Paul Kossoff ~ (RIP) 19 March 1976

Post by The Flying Dutchman »

Another great guitarplayer died on that date...... Paul Kossoff, according many one of the best bluesplayers ever!
Once in a while I watch that old Free stuff, totally forget about it yesterday because of Randy.

Free - I'll Be Creepin'

This one is my favorite Free piece, listen to the emotion & feel he puts in that solo! His vibrato and tone were fantastic! 8)

He's one of my favourite guitarists. His vibrato is insane! Listen to Worry from Tons of Sobs if you've never heard him, he sure could make that guitar live.

I hadn't realised that they both died on March 19th! :? I have met so many people who revere Kossoff, but have never heard of Randy! :?
I think that guitarists like both of these get far less credit than they deserve, while people rave about Hendrix and Cobain Randy and Paul seem to get forgotten. Very sad :(
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

I thought the same thing until today I mentioned Paul to my mum and it turns out that they had not only heard of him but had seen him live as well. It's quite cool. Apparently "everyone" knows Kossoff :)
