* Revelation - any live / bootleg version still gives me goose-bumps
* Tonight - would love to hear Bob's Grail for possible tour rehearsals of how this would have sounded live
* Mr Crowley - what more can 1 say about those solos?
* Diary Of A Madman - sheer masterpiece
* I Don't Know - couldn't have asked for a better song/ solo to kick off the BOO album
As far as the poll, I like both albums the same. So for me it is a false choice.
Solos
1 Spot light solo
2 Flying High Again
3 SATO
4 Mr Crowley
5 Revelation Mother Earth
The spot light solo really show cases some very interesting things that Randy does here that he really doesn't do any were else. And I have and will always be blown away by it. Flying High Again is really the solo that does it for me. I just love every note of the solo. It feels very well thought out and that tapping part at the end is just genius. I know I know, it appears that George Lynch taught it to Randy, and I am fine with that. I love George Lynch, he is a monster player too.

yep, just a guide so..Shows you how rushed things were, couldn't even go back and put something down..
That's the thing, though, it sounds good as is, it didn't need to be redone. Randy would have spent days on end unnecessarily. I love the Crowley story about how he worked endlessly and Ozzy said, 'That sucks, just wing it' and we got one of Randy's best solos ever.

That outro solo to little dolls is among my favorites.

Yeah I really like Little Dolls all together. I love the notes and phrasing he uses with that solo, you can hum that for days.

He did the last solo on the fly? Wow, I always assumed it was the first one just because the final solo sounds so thought out while the first sounds like he's just ripping. Insane how much talent that guy had.
