The descriptions says "Karl made guitars for Randy..." Karl made guitar for Randy and it had issues. As a result, Randy went elsewhere to get his next custom guitar built.
As devored said, Karl makes these all the time.

thats pretty cool, really like the fret inlay ..... the floyd does look to "new" compared to the body so I think that might be a replacement

What I found interesting was that karal made replicas of Randy's vs that far back

What's up with the lightning bolts instead of bow ties?

Still no truss rod?
I think if I had $3000 to spend on a Polkadot V, I'd buy a new one from GMW and save about a grand.

If I had 3k to spend, I would build my own PDV and still have money left

3K would get me 85% of a Les Paul custom

Could go used. They go for less than 3k all the time.devorerd wrote:3K would get me 85% of a Les Paul custom

True, but then I wouldn't get to put all the usage, scratches, dents, wear and tear, etc...lol

I am the same way

I look at it this way the dents and road wear caused by myself to the new guitar is a story that I can tell
The only way I would get a used guitar is if it's vintage otherwise it's worth it saving up for your own custom guitar

I could get a bunch of guitars for 3K, why settle for just one? In fact, I could walk into the pawn shop where I usually buy and walk out with 10 guitars for that much cash!
