I had emailed to reserve an autographed copy when it was first announced quite some time ago, but never received a notice. I sent an email a week ago but have not received any response.
It's finally here...Bob's book WOW!!! what a nice surprise and a well put together package. The photos are just great and all from private sources and Bob's own personal pics while recording and playing with Randy and Ozzy. The book is mapped out in chronological order 'big words' for this time in the morning.. and starts with an intro from Kelle Rhoads with a cool pic of Randy and Bob together..I don't want to give too many 'spoilers' but its going to be a roller coaster ride of a book and a great one if that. I'm away for an education...I'd like to thank Bob And Lee for personally signing my copy and a big thank you to Troy Jackson (Sky) for keeping me in the loop and updating me on the progress of Bob's book etc. Mucho appreciation Thanks

That's great news, Shaun, you lucky dog!
I guess I may see my copy sometime this week, then. Been looking forward to this read for quite some time.
Hearty congratulations to Bob on the books release!
Thanks go to Troy for being a presence here to speak on Bob's behalf and keeping us informed...he's good people.

Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!
I received my copy today it really does look a great book, i dont want to give anything away but there are plenty of unseen photos of the Blizzard era plus some taken at places i know very well.....
Also i have never seen Randy wearing a tracksuit before!!
There is a part in the book that is truly shocking though it actually made the hairs of my neck stand on end.
Its weird its like all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle finally fall into place.

It's regret, i think that really is the worst kind of pain, yeah guilt is bad, and sadness is bad, but regret is the sickly combination of both.

At the beginning of this week we were alerted to an issue with the binding on some of the books. The printers have been brilliant and as soon as the potential problem came to light, they offered to replace all copies. Everyone who ordered a signed copy through Bob's website will be receiving another copy free of charge.
Maybe you should frame the signed copy, you've got a limited edition!
Thanks
Simon (Bob's webmaster)
Too bad they've had an issue with the binding. Great service to send extra copies to everyone, much appreciated!!

Ditto for me. Cool they sent us an email telling us about this.
Bob, and his publishers, are class acts. They did not have to do this, but want to make sure people are happy and taken care of, regardless that the extra cost is out of their own pocket. THAT, my friends, is customer service, and going the extra mile!
My autographed copy of the book will indeed be going on the shelf of my bookcase that houses all my other autographed copies of books. The other copy will be the "reader".
Very much looking forward to this book, and Bob's career outside of Ozzy, as well as the Randy-related parts, of course.

Yes it really is a fantastic book for so many reasons, its really well written and links everything together throughout Bobs career the coincidences that occur are really amazing, also i would imagine anyone who is a fan of Randy Rhoads would surely shed a tear and love the unseen photos, i know some of the places mentioned and especially one of the places so it had a strong emotional impact as i said it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end , but i would read the book right from the very start it is so much better that way ( when you receive yours )

I was very tempted to skip to the Ozzy 1979 - 1980 years. But i must admit Bob had a very colourful up bringing and i was surprised his Mother was from my neck of the woods well the North East of England Sunderland. I'm across the river in Newcastle. Surprisingly Don Airey is from Sunderland and Ozzy had relatives aunties ? who lived there. I think Ozzy mentions this in his autobiography when he speaks about the first time he seen the sea. I've been too busy to get well into the book, i'm only on chapter 3 and i think i'll blast a few more chapters in bed tonight. Shit.. Bob is still a teenager, i've got a few more years before Bob starts cutting his teeth for serious bands...
Have you hit the Mungo Jerry years, Idol? I'm waiting for mine to arrive here. What was Bob's first book called, from a few years back? I have it in some box around here.
Coming up to that time Bob is just building up his chops he's done the exchange from 6 strings to the bass and has just getting into his first major band from Oz. The 'Delawares'...his first love is round the corner and Kahvas Jute are the next major band in the book. All good knowledgable info on the guy. Joe i'm not with you 'what was Bob's first book called ?? ' as far as i'm aware this is his 1st book.
