Re: Randys Zeus Pedalboard.
Yeah just hand it back to the family to do what... To be put with his other gear to gather dust. At least the Zeus amp is being shown to the fans and it is something that has become available to see. It would of been another piece to be locked away to come out on the odd occasion for a photo shoot or an appearence at a Rock music museum. So it has ended up in better hands. It would be pointless to argue the point of it being 'stolen', as it was taking from the bus by someone. Otherwise it would of ended up stashed away in the 'secret vault'.
Re: Randys Zeus Pedalboard.
The Chap who bought it used to / still does post and visit this site from time to time.
I have never met him as we live about 5000 miles apart, but Chris has always been up front about the board.
If I remember rightly, it wasn't just a money deal, I think he had to swap include a guitar or two in the offer?
Anyway - I totally agree with Idol- it is in the hands of a fan who is willing to share it with other fans.
If it was that important to the Rhoads family, they would have bought it when they had the chance.
IF you don't agree with it -fine, then that is your opinion. Personally I wouldn't have paid $10K for it, as I don't have and will never have that spare cash, but I am very glad that a fellow fan has.
It is no longer collecting dust - it is being used the same way that randy would have used it.

Re: Randys Zeus Pedalboard.
*Sigh* I knew SOMEONE would say something along the lines of "This guy is a jerk for purchasing the board and then offering to sell it back to the Rhoads for a price! He should have just given it back to them for free!"
It's a lot easier to tell someone else to give something away for free than to do it yourself.
If you really wanted him to give the board back to the Rhoads family, either give him $10,000 and just do it yourself or start up a fund and do it that way.
I'm of the opinion that he purchased it, did the right thing and offered it back to the Rhoads family (He didn't ask for anything more than he paid, he just wanted his money back which to me is completely understandable), they declined and told him he could keep it.

Re: Randys Zeus Pedalboard.
To be honest I would rather see this guy have the board than the rhoads family
WHY
Because this guy knows the value of this board and he will take care of it
The rhoads family would probably put the board into their underground vault under the garage
I have said to much
