Hi, I made a present for my best friend last year and I had the idea to make other stuff like that.
At first a friend of my dad helped(he is a carpenter) but now I try to make my ideas come true on my own.
I made a Polka dot headstock copy but I need your opinions since I think the dimensions might be wrong.
If anyone has Polka dot V guitar dimensions please let me know.
Here's the present I made for my friend. He is a bass player and Iron maiden is his favourite band.
Made out of wood, handmade and handpainted. I made the keys out of thin sheet metal and painted them.
The strings are real. Picture in the clock is mine...
Painted according to his Fender bass. String retainer not missing, I copied that too. I put it on after I took this pic...

I made everthing you see in the pictures.

For the V I took a photo, printed it and worked on with that. I drilled the holes for the keys after measuring and some tests.
But I know the height is wrong. The real headstock was bigger.

verry cool sometime i would like to see you build a full guitar including the polka dot v

Thanks!!! I am a long way from that. I have thought about it though.
My biggest problem is taht I don't have somewhere to make all this. Like a garage....
