No, I would not give up 'everything' to live back in those years. I am 46-years-old, married to a wonderful woman, have 5 amazing children and am thankful to have what I have today. I wouldn't give that up for anything.randy will never die wrote:what do you expect i am 16 and i hate my generationi love the 50s 60s 70s and 80s u would not tell me that you would rather give everything up to live back in thos years
Would I like to go back and revisit some of those times? Sure, for a minute. I do that from time to time with my memories and the Internet. Look at this for an example.
If you 'hate' your generation, why not do something to improve it? What is it you hate so much? Think about what you would actually be giving up - you must care about something.
You started your last post with, "What do you expect, I am 16." Sorry for sounding like I'm taking a simple comment too seriously, but that's a cop out. "I'm 16, so I should be forgiven for a ridiculous comment." Our society has many problems because the adults ignore the youth and the youth need adult advice to navigate life. You learn from adults who have gone through this before you. Our experience can aid you in avoiding stupid pitfalls. Those of us who are adults need to help any time we can. That is why I have comment on your posts.
Anyway, I've had my say and I'll let it go.
I hope you eventually find the video you so much want to see.

Re: Randy Rhoads Documentary
I think that it's awesome that a younger "generation" has discovered Randy Rhoads- regardless of grammar and syntax- wtg, Randy will never die- and I'm sorry that you weren't bred on the good shit you're into now, it took some time but you've discovered that which you're passionate about- and I don't blame you for wanting more.
The sad fact is that we have very limited pro-shot footage of Randy and there are a host of reasons why that is (some confirmed, some suspected) but chances are that we'll never see it. I have my suspicions that even if there were a plethora of material suddenly discovered that it would be quashed.
I think it's awesome that you have a refined palate as opposed to your peers- all you can do is enjoy what we have left of Randy, his music. Sadly I feel that is all we will ever have of him, which ain't that bad at all.

Re: Randy Rhoads Documentary
Imagine being surrounded by people that love rap, Justin Bieber, and Lady GaGa all the time, not that some can't find their artistic value (or any value) but it's not for me that's for sure. I feel for the poor kid- I bet he does try to reach out to others in his age group. Hell, I remember 16 rather well! I was into Ozzy, Maiden, Priest- and it seemed like everyone I knew was into Wham!, Madonna, and whatever pop hit was hot that week and for the lack of better words- f*ck that!Paul Wolfe wrote: If you 'hate' your generation, why not do something to improve it? And it's probably even worse, given that his peers have just about everything at the touch of their fingertip- and they still focus on the ish that is glorified in today's music.
I don't know about you, Paul (though I can guess by your response) but I empathize with the kid- he's still trying to find out more about RR, and it is hard for today's youth to fathom that Randy didn't leave a whole lot of media behind. The "stars" in today's youth can't fart without someone tweeting about it.
He does need to learn a little more about English, though! lol

Not sure what your 'guess' would be, but my point is that the kid has to focus on the good in life not the bad. Wishing things were different does no good. You have to work at change and those of us who are adults need to help the younger generation understand that. I have empathy for him, but I felt his comments were crazy so I called him on it and tried to spur further thought on the subject.RRFan4Ever wrote:I don't know about you, Paul (though I can guess by your response) but I empathize with the kid
Have you ever tried to understand why they like what they do? The way to make friends is to treat others the way you would like to be treated. If you want them to like you and understand you, you need to understand them and not judge based on their musical choices.randy will never die wrote:Some one that's gets and under stands me almost completey it is verry hard because every one I try to connect with at school likes lady gaga and Justin be bier that's why I have verry few friends
Seriously, you need to be respectful of your elders. If you treat people at school like you treated Stiltzkin here then that's why you have few friends.randy will never die wrote:i only have like 5 freinds and 3 of them are basided on music instrest you dont know how school works in my generation so please be nice or stay out of the conversation no disrescpt
Many of us went through school already, your generation is no different than ours. Randy had few friends in school and was beat up for being different - do you go through that?
First of all, your description of school is just like my school was 30 years ago. 'It's hard to be a teen in this generation' - every generation has had teens say that.randy will never die wrote:well first the popular kids are dicks excusie my french second there are the middle class they can be nice 50% of the time they will be nice to anybody and then they will turn on you in a second just to be cool there are the nerds and the kids that look like nerds that get bullyed the most personily i am not a nerd but i am in the lowest class the reason why i am in the lowest class is because i care about everyone nomatter who you are i allways put everybody first you can belive it or not but i dont bully any body and never have and never will why make somebody elses life bad

I live in a small town just south of Olympia, WA. Twenty years ago there was a kid in a small town near here who had the same issues/complaints as you. He started a band and was called 'average' and a 'follower' by the other musicians in the area. He kept doing what he wanted and changed the world with one song.
You can do that, too.

Sorry but some of your spelling is really really really bad. And it is a distraction.
