I am going down to musonia once more before I leave - I took a great shot of Kelle at the piano first time and he said he would sign a copy for me -- wish I would have gotten to meet Dee -- she must have been a heck of a musician!!!!!

I think it gives you a clue it's splashed over the front GETTY IMAGES.... They have one of the planets biggest photo archive. I emailed Fin last year and i was surprised to find out he never really knew Randy as a person and he never seen the band Live. So no live photos of RR Ozzy etc. He's taking some great shots over the years and is great at catching an atmosphere in still format.Kel wrote:I believe these are all Finn Costello shots -- he seems to have sold the rights - I emailed him and asked about prices and he told me I had to connect with whatever stock phot place holds them -- I can't think of it right noe -- it is the BIGGEST - whats the name?????? arrrrghgggghh.

If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal. John Lennon

Amazing Pics. I've always said that that four piece was one of the tightest bands I've ever heard. I was an amaetuer drummer for many years and Kerslake's playing on BOO and Diary was and still is a revelation. Since I was too young to be around at the time, (I was born in 76) I obessed over any pics i could find of Randy and band pre internet. These are a treasure trove. Thank you all for posting!
Re: New pics from 1980!!!
I believe The BOO would be considered a three piece. Do I have that right? But yeah, very tight. Listen to Lee's live playing on Chelmsford 1980. During the drum solo he plays an Over the mountain drum figure but it's also in Crazy Train and Flying high again.
It's funny in the '78 QR video w/3 songs (very red hue and slight distortion) at the end of Slick Black Cadillac Randy plays his toggle switch until the last beat and leaves it on. In the Chicago video during the end of over the mountain, it is clear that Randy missed the final riff refrain (E-A-G#) as all you can hear is the drums and bass. Those are two separate but similar moments.

I found this photo over at Lee Kerslakes FB page. It's from the 1980 UK Blizzard tour. I'm not sure what gig its from ??.
