This would have been one the very first show scheduled (August 14th) and most likely cancelled .. The earliest show known so far was in Newcastle on August 15th.

Re: Forgotten early date (??)
I saw something saying the Blizzard of Ozz Reading Festival 1980. I don't believe they were there. Maybe that's why they did Port Vale in '81 because the first gig supposedly was GLASGOW, Scotland in mid August. They missed all those UK Festivals in the summer of '80 and played small venues that leg.

Here's is a news clipping from uk-papers i made boot cover here are earliest dates.

Oh that can't be right, it advertises a band named Blizzard of Ozz... there wasn't a band, just Ozzy and some unknown sidemen, right?

Reading 1980 was booked then canceled at the last minute as the band was not ready: adverts & festival program still bear the name Ossie Osbourne & Blizzard of Ozz:hansolo wrote:I saw something saying the Blizzard of Ozz Reading Festival 1980. Re: Forgotten early date (??)
That is the first time ive seen an actual date put to that Cromer 'secret' gig. where did that info come from ?.
Yeah those early dates got pulled because the album was going to be released earlier but due to time in the studio and the album coming out later etc. Ozzy didn't want to gig with the album until it had been released. If you remember he was worried about ticket sales and thinking the 1980 tour would be a flop on the first night at the Glasgow apollo. The tour started on the 12th September and the album came out on the 20th September. I cannot remember if Crazy Train was released at the same time or slightly earlier ?. I could imagine more adverts and other dates being printed on flyers etc. I think the tour was pulled as fast as any dates went to press as i've never seen any tickets from any of the cancelled gigs. I don't think that Edinburgh festival date (14th August) has ever been mentioned until now. Cheers for posting that pic up.

Re: Forgotten early date (??)

Those 2 dates mentioned for the Hammersmith odeon.. the 21st September gig was cancelled. But they did another show at the Odeon on a later date 26th October. The dates are confusing as they added more dates to the tour as the shows became popular and with demand another 12 dates got added to the UK tour.

Re: Forgotten early date (??)
There is a festival program of 1980 already printed when the band cancelled. the abnd name and article is included. This is the 20th anniversary of the festival.. lot of memories... reaching 1980, you ll notice known figures of the OO band familly tree ( Aldride, Bernie Torme )zazafromjohor wrote:Reading 1980 was booked then canceled at the last minute as the band was not ready: adverts & festival program still bear the name Ossie Osbourne & Blizzard of Ozz:hansolo wrote:I saw something saying the Blizzard of Ozz Reading Festival 1980.
