So not really a childhood memory but I'm feeling old and wanted to relive my early twenties tonight... I started looking for an early KISS concert video on YouTube because I'm reading No Regrets by Ace Frehley. After one or two clips i cam across Faith No More's Live at Brixton Academy - You Fat Bastards full show... I loved this back in the day when i bought it on VHS! I remember my first apartment, living alone and cranking up this through the stereo...

Faith No More were very much of the grunge mentality stage-presence-wise, while being decidedly not grunge musically.

I know what you mean about certain music fitting specific moments in time like that, Alex. Check out this video of the NES Mad Max game. I played that for hours on end to Anthrax's Persistence of Time CD. Last year I found an emulator online and played that game again for the first time in years and instantly heard Anthrax in my head!

It's so cool that people took ideas from the 60's and 70's cartoons and made them real!
