how accurate would that movie be? 8)
Good question. I suppose it would depend on who would script it. To do it properly, you would need the assistance and recollections of everyone involved in the band that is with us today, not just, god forbid, Ozzy and Sharon. It would be a fantasy story if just those two got to script it.

I disagree. It could be accurate without hearing from everyone. The 'God Bless Ozzy' documentary wasn't "inaccurate", it just left things out. he parts it did discuss were done well. I imagine people would consider an RR documentary "inaccurate" if it skipped the stories of him being a practical joker or his more devilish side. To me that wouldn't make it "inaccurate" as much as "incomplete".

Not hearing the Bob and Lee parts of the story wouldn't ruin an RR doc for me, just as not hearing about Randy and the girl from the Runaways wouldn't bother me. By the way, Randy and QR weren't mentioned in the Runaways feature film, so it's only right that they are not mentioned in an RR film.

Leaving out minor details isn't really an issue, leaving out things like, who was in a band, is just a bit more important.

Hmmm....

I remember when I first discovered Randy. I was looking up Ozzy and I was like, "who is that dude?" I looked him up as well, figuring out Randy's name. Then, me, being a guitarist, thought of Randy as a legend.

People in my school say that he wasn't worth anything, and he's ugly, and he looks like a chick and he's old and what-not, but really, since when was talent in playing guitar accounted on by looks? In my opinion, I think he's quite cute, but that's not really what matters. His talent mattered. It still does.

I think people like those disrespectful brats might try to bring down Randy, but I don't that will stop people from liking Randy. So what if he looked like a girl? He had enough skill to outplay even a member of Dragonforce.

This is just my opinion, though.

I know heaps of guys (young and old) who don't think randy was anything special and as far as i'm concerned thats there business....I challenge any one to find a guitarist who writes more appropriate/composed solo's even to day. His solo's are a song inside a song that totally fit everything that is going on in the song and at no point do they try to "show off"....I can't think of another guitarist who can do that (although I am sure there are some)

I agree with this.

I don't completely agree. Randy has said that he sometimes plays flashy licks or Van Halen licks, referring to his spotlight solo. The open string pedal, muted runs, lightning fast ascending and descending runs. So he had some flash-in-the-chip-pan stuff to his arsenal. He also had his looks and "cute" outfits. The difference is today, looks are so much more important to marketing a band. I had heard that was one reason Bob and Lee were fired were they didn't look youthful enough. Anyway, Randy coming from a musical family, being a teacher and spending all day with the guitar and music... Who cares if every person doesn't realize how awesome Randy's playing is? It actually makes him more special, in my eyes. As an intermediate guitar player, I love pulling out some Randy when people don't know it. If they weren't fans of Rand's' before, they were now. The other day, I start playing the riff of "Steal away" and HS friend (class '86) was over. He was like, you really improved!
