At least Sam Worthington's face resembles Randy's more than Owen Wilson's does...

I hope that Randy docufilm comes out next year.
The bits I've seen on youtube of it look pretty cool.

Plus, you have find someone who has the height and build of Randy..

Even being as short and slight as he was, he Still was one of The coolest-looking guitarists/musicians out there. Randy always seemed to look cool, you know?

That's 'cos he is cool lol :8 ...

Plus, you'd have to find someone who has that sort of androgynous handsome beauty that Randy has.. Visually speaking, Randy was practically created to become a rock star.

Fortunately, he proved to be an even greater musician and musician's musician than even that.

Randy: \m/

I keep forgeting how freakin TINY Randy really was. If you see the beach pictures, he looks almost scary skinny. Both Owen Wilson and Sam Worthington are a bit too tall and muscular compared to Randy Rhoads really was. But the same type of thing happened with the X-Men movies. Canonically speaking, Wolverine was only 5'2 (Same height as Randy btw) but Hugh Jackman was 6'2 so they did a lot of shots that made him look shorter than 6'2. Actually, if you looked at my other post it said that if an Off the Rails movie was made, Hugh Jackman would play Rudy Sarzo.

Remember when Sacha Baron Cohen was supposedly up for the role of playing Freddie Mercury of Queen in some movie?

Sacha's like 6'5" or something. Freddie was of moderate height. Sacha looks like Freddie, and I'm sure he would be able to embody Freddie's sense of humor and panache' well enough. It'd have to be a comedy though. How else could you suspend imagination and buy into the idea that Freddie Mercury suddenly is 6'5"?

I was trying to think of a name off of the top of my head of someone who is an actor who looks like Randy. I came up dry.

Yeah; those boating pictures of Randy with everyone on the fishing boat: he's almost transluscently-thin. Tiny. His guitar playing and sound in general of course makes up for it. He sounds a good 8'10" when with guitar! 8)

The only way to make it interesting for mass audiences would be to make it a comedy with the focus, as mentioned, on Ozzy's antics, and Randy's life isnt at all a comedy....so I just dont see it working.
I agree with you, man. I wouldn't necessarily want to see anyone playing Randy in a movie.

If he was still alive and had time to engage himself in some comical exploits the way Ozzy has since then, then ok. I'd rather see the comedy movie centered around Ozzy, and keep it at that.

I'm psyched to check out 'God Bless Ozzy Osbourne' on the 24th. Fortunately, it's playing in my area that night.

I always thought David Spade could play randy. he is small enough and the face is close.

Spade's got the thing with the voice there.. Randy had a certain cadence with speaking that I'm sure Spade could cop and tweak it here and there for comical effect. Spade's countenance, particularly his more-pointed nose and nose size: not so reminiscent of Randy.'

I always thought that Steve Clark of Def Leppard resembled Randy. Steve, if he was still alive for consideration, not only resembled Randy facially and expression-wise sometimes, but also that he already plays guitar, he himself toured with Randy and Ozzy with Def Leppard back in 1981 and Steve was known to have had a mischievous sense of humor ala' Randy.

Cheers :) .

I really can't think of any celeb that resembles Rudy Sarzo facially.

But I still think that Hugh Jackman would actually be able to pull off the role as Rudy Sarzo. The man is extremley talented and was in a whole lot of movies ranging from superhero fims (X-Men) ,dramas (Australia), chick flicks (Kate and Leopold). And besides he always wants to stay in shape just in case he has to do another movie. The way Rudy did that bass swing/head banging is pretty good exercise! I know from experience....

I was thinking Rob Schneider, circa 2004.

You know, now that I think about it, I've never seen a person and said to myself "Huh....they remind me of Randy Roads".

I know that Mark Andes, the bassist for Heart had that "Randy-esque" look back in the 80s. Look at the album cover for the "Heart" album.

And don't forget that Zakk Wylde USED to be a dead ringer for Randy Rhoads before he became a viking/barbarian.

See, I was thinking about facial features. Sure, with the hair in his face and a white LP, Zakk could resemble Randy, but the facial features are way different. Pull the hair back and it wouldnt even be close.

It would seem weird if Kelly actually played Sharon her own mother. She does look like her, but I mean if there was a love scene with whoever was playing the part of Ozzy she would be doing it with her Dad! Then she gets pregnant and has gives birth to herself. To me that would not work very well. I guess I over analyze to much.
