The video tribute thread got me thinking, has anyone ever tried making CG footage of Randy?
I’m guessing somebody probably tried something like that with second life.
There was a show on the History Channel where old photos, taken decades before motion film was invented, were used to create realistic CG footage of Abraham Lincoln. Could you imagine if someone with the expertise were do something like that with Randy? It would be the next best thing to finding new recordings! They could use his photos and existing footage as models for his likeness and movement, then they could combine that with a full, 3D reproduction of the DOAMM tour stage, merge it with a good bootleg and we would come so close to having the video and concert experience we’ve always wanted.

That would be awesome! I've always loved the Neil Peart CG of him playing YYZ.

Love the Neil Peart vid too! Now if only someone that had a love of Randy's playing also had the skills to do that. Pair it with a great live show....that would be cool. Or at least his solo spotlight

The closest I've seen this done for Randy was in Second Life.

The best way to articulate Randy's moves is to use the After Hours footage because of so many closeups.
