Heard Zak on Liquid Metal which is a satellite station. He commented on the reissues stating that there is a "ton" of bootleg video stuff that is of high quality. Unfortunately he mentioned "it is from a small place" with just the drum riser and amps on stage. Obviously not the castle.
I imagine Zakk could be talking about the Palladium, but anyone can tell this is a live gig from the get-go, also, the sound quality is not clean, nor is the video high quality.
That's not a knock, I bought the box and am glad for it, but I would not agree with Zakk on the quality of the picture or audio.
I cannot find the Ozzy post, but I could have sworn somewhere, someone had posted a tweet of his where he had said "multiple camera angles", concerning the footage, which doesn't describe neither NY or NM.
This tweet was obviously after the first one where he first saw the new footage.
There's also the remainder of Zakk's comment from the Liquid Metal show:
He also mentioned outtakes from Diary. Mostly notably, he spoke of the solo break loops where Randy was working out the solo for Over the Mountain. He said that you can hear him playing loop after loop working out ideas and developing the finished solo.
I would think material like this is not from Bob's grail tapes, but rather from the Ridge Farm tapes, as Max had mentioned making loops for Randy to work out his ideas.

I didn't remember hearing the live gig part but my bad. I thought E.T. (then), but I never thought of this before but could E.T. have been a live gig?

This fall would have been "Thirty years after the Diary of a Madman" but I'm not holdin' my breath for that one. But that E.T. would be a great bonus... Why do I do it to myself?

Wish there was a way to get the full Rosemont show from the master tape! With no glitches, I bet the filmer only released a portion of it, when he leaked it or whatever...
Too bad we couldn't band together, and make an offer for it ourselves, I bet there isn't much more footage out there for any future releases. Would be an amazing dvd if it came straight from the source!
