Bought the Guitar World with RR on the cover, and Zakk said this in an article (one about the new BLS album):
..at one of the Ozzfests some kid came up to me and said, "You're the greatest guitar player Ozzy's ever had!" And I said, "No, that's Randy. This is the house that Rhoads built."

Zakk is devoted and knows his stuff. That is quite classy of him, saying that. Well done, Zakk.
I do respect Zakk for his support of RR. I honestly think focusing on BLS has been much better for him. I really dig his stuff with BLS much better than with OZ.
Zakk grew up on Randy he had a easy shrine himself and was a diehard Randy fan would expect him to say something like that because even though zakk put out other albums, the songs that took Randy 2 years to master flawlessly and with breathtaking effects take even a guitarist as great as Wylde his entire career to master, that just shows how much of a gitar god Randy was and is.
Cool. Best answer to a sports-locker-room-type question! I could see that happening and Zakk being like, "No, Randy Rhoads is." Towering over this kid and with a unintentional threatening vibe. And the kid thinking he just said the wrong thing. It just that if you have ever met Zakk, he has that vibe with the BLS biker type stuff...

At least Zakk knows the score! As good of a player as he is, Randy will ALWAYS be the king of Ozzy's guitarists. Refreshing to see a well known guitarist being humble.
