I live kind of near the Oakland Colisuem. Kinda cool to think that right now (6:15pm West Coast time) is when Randy was probably on stage.
I think they were the opening band that day...

Was Loverboy a big band back then?!?!?
Pat Travers?!?!?
It seems like Ozzy should have definitely played AFTER these jokers!

Re: DOTG 30 years?
I've never looked at festival gigs with a pecking order ?. Because if your the first band on, this can be a good thing. By the time the last band come on stage everyone is tired or pissed or stoned or asleep. I think Ozzy left his mark that day it would of been cool to see him on the same bill as Metallica in 1985?. That gig was packed to the Gods...
Pat Travers was a top act back then and he can still turn heads now..Nicko McBrain Tommy Aldridge Carmine Appice Mars Cowling Pat Thrall he had some great musos in his band.

I do know Ozzy performed with Metallica on 8-1-1986 in Charleston, WVGUITARIDOL5682 wrote:I've never looked at festival gigs with a pecking order ?.
