Famous people playing Randy's licks

Post by Stewie »

Hey guys, we all know Zakk Wylde likes to throw in some Rhoads stuff while soloing (like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRS2hPB-Gfc). But I was just watching a Buckethead video and suddenly he starts playing Diary of a Madman!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxdogjQE ... re=related 2:27 mark

Here's Buckethead playing Crazy Train:

Any other artists spotted covering some Rhoads?

I saw Warrent in 2000 and the guitar player did Crazy Train during his guitar solo.

I believe Brad Gillis also played the Crazy Train riff in a recent Night Ranger concert.

Yeh! Dimebag was a huge Randy fan. I always liked when he did that.

Yeah, the Dimebag one was the first that came into my head. Another one I also like is Michael Angelo Batio's Tribute to Randy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTLTu50oWso

Thanks guys, I knew I didn't know / remembered all the stuff that was out there. Keep 'em coming if you got some more. These topics are worth more imho than what brand of sigarettes Randy smoked... Seeing how other people honor him by showing he meant something for them is just beatiful.
