Can you really argue with that?
Yes I can, idiots can be everywhere, in any group of people, Randy's fan crowd is really no exception.
btw I know who you talk about, glad he is gone....

Not sure what the difference is. I have come to this conclusion after observing fans on the boards for 10 years, the documentary, all the feuds, the splits, the vendettas, the threats, the schemes, the cliques, the fanaticism, the elitism among fans/family/friends, the different websites and whatnot.
To top it off, people - fans of Randy - are threatening to have each other killed.

The internets brings out the worst in everybody just like cars and driving in traffic.
The anonymity is what makes us to go stark raving mad. What would we do without all our toys?

I am glad to see anything. Heck, I sat for 15 minutes in the room he used to teach in when I went to Musonia -- amid the dust and all -- I admire(d) Randy as an artist -- whatever I can get to see or hear Im glad!
People love Randy. Thats why everyone is adamant in how they feel. Just because im let down by the footage doesn't mean I feel divided from any of you! I love all you guys. Its ok to have different opinions. Its what makes us all unique. I respect how all of you guys feel when it comes to anything Randy related.

You know what, I realize I sounded pretty belligerent in my last post. I think just like Randy's music, we're all pretty passionate in our opinions. My apologies.
That being said, it was pretty magical watching the footage for the first time. Regardless of how the footage came in our possession, or how much we all believe it's worth monetarily, can we all agree on that?
I enjoyed the Palladium footage the most out of the new stuff. I guess I was just pissed off and let down by the Diary footage. I still honestly believe there is pro shot, high quality video out there somewhere. I mean the kind of footage that truly is the "holy grail". I don't know if the Osbournes are sitting on it, if someone else is sitting on it, or if its buried somewhere still undiscovered. But I believe its out there. And maybe with all the hoopla surrounded the new footage that we do have it will motivate people to either search harder or maybe it will persuade someone to release it. Thats my hope!
i still think there is more to the Texas Soundcheck that isn't being released to us. The vid cuts off in the middle of Randy's riff... either Ozzy is keeping that footage or the camera man was stupid...

Good point. Ya know, I never thought about it. I guess a big camera crew came in, taped the sound check, and interviewed Ozzy and then left. Makes sense to me.................................................Not.
THE ANSWER IS THEY ARE ALL GOOD. I hate to use that over-used phrase but all (I can't believe I'm using all as if there is so much of Randy footage) the footage is good. Collect it all. Don't pick a favorite. Anything I can get a hold of Randy audio/video, I am there! Choose Randy! 100% freshly squeezed Randy. Remember how the Palladium used too look? Randy! Randy!

According "Lintball" (the guy who came up with that footage) the whole show was filmed.

Where is the rest of the footage? At least the sound check and maybe they interviewed Randy and the guys. You would figure they did. There has to be more.
