but that's not the same as giving it away for free is it?
when you give something to someone, is it in your possession afterward?
no
when you share something with someone, or make them a copy, is it in your possession afterward?
yes
that is because you did not GIVE it to someone, you SHARED it with someone.
...and the share lasts forever if you want it to
I had to throw that last comment in after the ellipses points because I knew someone would say that "well sharing doesn't last forevaaarrrrrrrrrr!"<-said with teen girl accent
i was pointing out that it's unlikely that someone(artist) would put
out something for free that they've invested many hours of work and money in.
too many to give it away for free.

sharing is caring
just kidding. i agree with this point you made...i'm kinda in the middle of this, i want the footage, but i don't think that you guys owe it to us.
I'm kinda the guy watching this whole thing go down and occasionally throwing stuff in (all facts of course) to make this more entertaining.
so yeah pirate bay is still working...and so is google!
and alex, the he/she, you should be interested, you wouldn't have joined this site if you weren't!

Doesnt RADIOHEAD DID it?? THe new Def Leppard Live Cd is free for streaming.. The new AlterBrdige was free also and i could go on and on. THey all know that they can no longer make money from album. They have to use them as publicity for their live show. They make money with live show and merchandise tshirt etc etc
Just my two cents...I didn't fork out the $150 for the box set. Do I feel I deserve to see the live footage? No. Someday I will. Someday I will either buy the box set used for a reasonable price, or I'll find a friend who has it, and watch it at their house.
In a weird way, when someone gives me files of music stuff, I say "no thanks." I enjoy holding a physical product in my hands. Something I can sink my teeth into. Something I can look at while I'm on the toilet. I'm old-fashioned that way. I actually appreciate the music more when I buy it. I'm totally serious here.
Randy means a lot to me, but the Live CD for now is really keeping me satisfied. And I purchased it from I-Tunes.

I think pirating is morally wrog, and rips off the artist. However, my opinion changes when we're talking about Sharon. Would I normally pirate anything? Nope. Would I snag the footage on a torrent if I found it? In this case, yes, I would. For a number of reasons I have stated in another post. I see both sides of this one.
Those that paid for the box set, I dont think should feel pressured to share it. If it somehow comes into my possession, however, I will make sure that, shall we say, other fans arent disappointed.
