Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!
Re: Crazy Train: The high life and tragic death of Randy Rho
It sucks we gotta wait but I'm sure it's totally worth it.
Re: Crazy Train: The high life and tragic death of Randy Rho
Just spoke to the publishers, who tell me that UK stock is arriving next week and US supplies will be there "shortly after". Sorry to be so inexact but this is the nature of the book industry, irritatingly

As a fan and one that did in fact purchase the book, I completely understand and will be happy when it arrives. What's up with the publishing/printing companies? I received two notices already with two different dates and still no book.Tharg wrote:Just spoke to the publishers, who tell me that UK stock is arriving next week and US supplies will be there "shortly after". Thanks Joel, appreciate you looking into it...it's out of your hands as we are all at the mercy of these folk who aren't that big on deadlines, I guess.
We'll keep you updated with any further news from amazon, of course.
I'm sure it's gonna be a great read!

Re: Crazy Train: The high life and tragic death of Randy Rho
Once again, a link to amazon for this book was posted on the RRFB page, and once again, people see Randy's age listed as 26, and automatically assume that this is Joel's fault.
I let these people know that wrong info comes from amazon and not from the author!
I attempted to find a way to let amazon know their blurb was incorrect and it could be costing Joel sales, but couldn't seem to find a link to contact them directly, so the best I could do was start a discussion further down the page titled "Amazon Editorial Misinformation", I'm just not sure how many folks would see it.

Appreciated man! Amazon often gets its facts wrong.

Hey Joel,
Did you happen to run into any snags with the Rhoads family or the Osbournes?
Is there going to be any new information or is this a straight forward bio?

Re: Crazy Train: The high life and tragic death of Randy Rho
There weren't any problems with the Osbournes or Rhoads families, but there were issues with one particular planet-sized asshole who knew RR in the early days.
Plenty of new info about his childhood from his school friends, lots of cool new stuff about his life as a musician from Grover Jackson, Bob Daisley and others.

I'm afraid that only narrows it down to about 3 possibilities.Tharg wrote:there were issues with one particular planet-sized asshole who knew RR in the early days.
One more hint?
Do his first and last names both end with a vowel, both end with a consonant, or one of each?

DJ-wannabe/percussionist rollercoaster?Tharg wrote:Can't really say more amigo, let's just say that it was a rollercoaster ride

(probably taking the non-hint too far)
