My Rant about the new Randy Stuff.

Post by Remedylane »

Not the type of rant you think. I can't find the damn cds anywhere.. I live in Charlotte N.C. None of the best buys have them in store.. Not even the cds. There is a record store that has the cds, but not the Box set. I am undecided on the box set. I was kind of hoping someone would post up a song from the Palladium footage and a song from the Diary footage on you-tube. I know that you-tube is probably being heavily monitored.. This is like torture! I wanna hear the live cd badly! All Ive heard is Flying High. I didn't want to go buy the CD's and then decide to buy the box-set too. I wish I could have a better peak at the footage before i decide to go out and spend 150 bucks.. Oh well. I'm finished ranting now :)

Dude, go to I-Tunes.

You can listen too (and purchase, if you'd like) the live tunes. They are all 99 cents except for Crazy Train and Flying High Again which are 1.29 each.

no you dont have to have an ipod or iphone, but you can burn them to discs. but if you have no discs to burn to you would just have to listen to them on an mp3 player or the computer.

i'm not buying the boxset....i don't think its worth it...its wayyyyyyyy overpriced and the footage quality isn't what i was hoping for based on early (exaggerated) comments by the Osbournes. I'll pick up the DVD eventually one day if its ever offered separately, if not, no big deal..but it would be nice.
The live CD is the gem of the set and the remasters, from what i hear, is the best these albums will ever hope to sound. I'll pick both albums up, but i'm not going to drive all over the country to find them. I'm surprised your BBuy didn't have them...you would think they would. I'm just going to order them from Amazon...they'll be here in 2-3 days.

Yeah Halo, i was shocked when they didnt have them in store. I checked their "customer" computer kiosk, and none of the BBuys around Charlotte had them. Maybe they are getting them in late? I dunno. Im with you on the box set price. I wish they would offer the DVD seperate, I would have no issues paying 20-25 bucks for the DVD and obviously I have no issues buying the CDs either. I just feel they are holding us hostage with the $150-$199 dollar price tag.

I just got done listening and watching all the stuff in the boxset and I'm blown away. Seriously, buy the box you will not be disappointed that you did. They did an amazing job remastering these discs, I've never heard them sound so crisp, clear and clean, they blow the 95 reissues out of the water. The DVD is awesome, watching that footage is great. I don't know who said that the doc looked cheaply done, they are blind, I've got a 50 inch plasma and this thing looks awesome and well produced. Hearing the total ending of Tonight was worth the price of the set alone. The LP's are done really well, and everything down to how they looked in 81. The book, well the only thing I can say about the book is I wish there were more pages in it LOL, but seriously it's well done. The whole set is a class act and I'm super happy I bought it. No regrets.
