Maybe it's DirectTV? I have that too.

It says it'll be on at 4PM tomorrow (Pacific Time), but I'm not holding my breath.

I thought it got a little annoying watching Zakk Wylde playing along with Randy's solos. At first I thought it was pretty cool, but he plays them just differently enough that it got distracting after a few. Zakk's obviously a great player, but I would prefer to have just heard the solos by themselves.
I also personally could care less what the new guys in Ozzy's band have to say (especially since they didn't talk to any of the other guys who were originally there). They seem nice enough, but I'll be surprised if anyone will remember them 5 years from now since that's kind of the way $haron does things.
For what this documentary could (or SHOULD) have been, I thought it was just kind of OK. REALLY cool to hear Randy's solo tracks and part of the Tonight fadeout though. I wish they would have done some more songs of just guitar and vocals like they did with Goodbye To Romance. Maybe the full length dvd with the box set is better?

yep. Who cares what the new guys had to say, or even Halford for that matter. Made the doc poor to average at best. This could have been a 10 if they would have done it right and took their time. It felt very rushed. Bob and Lee should have been a big part, as well as anyone else that was around the studio's or such for that year and a half or so. This was a huge miss. Obviously, since it deals w/Randy, its worthwhile for sure....but on a "big picture" scale, a big, big miss.

Why no MAX NORMAN?
The guy at the board with ozzy had nothing to add except be aozzy's yes man...ditto for zakk and his riffing with the record was bad...he looks like a mess and young kids can play much better than him.He sounded like somebody at guitar center flubbing up.If youre gonna be on camera play it right or go home and let some young and hungry player do it-its almost disrespectful to have him displaying himself like that.
I wish they had had Vai elaborate on his comments about Randys playing.I dont remember Vai mentioning randy back in the 80s- i think he yapped a lot about evh back then.
I thought the whole thing was a nice tip of the hat to Randy.Really it was basically all Randy in spirit.I like the way they avoided the accident-no need to dwell on that.

Thats another thing. No Max Norman. I'm not trying to "bitch" but how can this doc even be made w/out Max Norman? Any doc should give him alone 20, 30 minutes just dedicated to what he has to say. At minimum. For such an expensive box set, they whiffed this really bad. You can go through TouTube clips and get "current" rockers saying quick blurbs about Randy.
I'm trying to wrap my head around what the point of this "doc" is.

I was a bit suprised myself. I was watching with my brother and noticed that I coudn't see Brad off to the right of the stage! I all you can see is a rather large silhouette in place of Brad! I said to stop and rewind that and pause there during the MTV footage. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't seeing things. Nope! Brad is backed out! WTF!! The O$bourne's couldn't even give credit to even Brad, even thought it was just about a 2~5 second clip! You can watch it yourselves! What BS this is....

I am so glad that I waited to see it for FREE before committing my $150. I'll wait for the torrents!

I really wish they would have let Vh1 classic albums direct the doc. That show is great and goes through the songs one by one with the artists that were involved with the record. The Hendrix, doors, u2 and queen ones were awesome. Just sad how much of this is driven by money and not for the love of these two albums. It could have been done so much better and it wouldn't have been too hard to do. This whole era has been mismanaged so poorly is really sad.

I agree what a big disapointment! How can you properly cover the making of 2 icon albums firstly in 42 minutes and then without 2 icon people who helped create the magic, and thats Bob and Lee.
I usually just read and do not post, but after watching that poorly made documentary I had to say something. This documentary had the potential to be one of the most interesting in the history of metal, had they did it properly. And No Max Norman, are you kidding me? Im sure he would have had great memories of those days with lots of interesting stories and hes left out probably becuz Sharon didnt want to pay for him, that might put a small dent in her excessive shopping habit on Rodeo Drive! And blacking out Brad Gillis was the last straw! That was utterly rediculous of Sharon to do!!! What the hell is wrong with Sharon Osbourne!!!!! Ive corresponded with Brad a few years ago, and hes one of the coolest people Ive ever talked with and he even sent me a big color photo of him and Ozzy from the Diary tour. He did want to spread the word that Ozzy had nothing to do with his sound for the tour, as some of you who are old enough to remember, Ozzy gave an interview back in 1982 where he stated that he sat with Brad as Brad adjusted different tones on his amp to get close as he could to Randy's tone, and Ozzy said that he was the one that told Brad, thats it, thats the tone I want you to use. Thats just not true, it never happened.
The most interesting thing to me with the documentary was listening to the master tapes, and I could have cared less like the rest of you of what Rob Halford and all the others had to say. And I might get in trouble here for saying this, but I wasnt all that impressed with the video footage they showed, it was of very poor quality and really Randy wasnt all that clear in the video when he did pop into a shot, the audio was horribel, but I guess from reading other post that the bonus footage has had a audio make over.
Well sorry about sounding like a downer. I did order the box set and Im actually looking forward to it and the vinyl thats coming with it, as I still love listening to records, to my ears there is more warmth to an album and they just sound better than CDs. But also interested in hearing the CDs as well. Well lets hope that one day Bob, Lee and Max will put out their own memories of those years with Randy, I bet it would be much more interesting and longer too.
