He has done some bad shit to himself. His playing is suffering from it. He is talented though.

Re: Unreleased Tunes
No doubt one of the greatest period. At one time he could do no wrong, and it seemed there was nothing he could not coax out of a guitar. Sadly that is no longer the case.
Re: Unreleased Tunes
Right and expecting 70's era VH looks and sounds in 2007 is just unreasonable. Tom, I'm sorry if I was harsh but you gotta admit we don't know how many Randy riffs maybe on Bob's tapes. We may never hear them. So, if your still cursing me, re-read your statement because it was an absolute. My #1 pet peeve is stating something as fact when it isn't. Also, I got on Idol for using the word "may" which is totally speculation. I probably was too sensitive and a little irritable waiting for the boxset but, I won't read/watch any news story that says, "It may rain" or "Eating dirt may solve world hunger". It's a waste of time and there is no conclusiveness. No one ever has to take a stand or be wrong - It did or didn't rain. Okay, long rant but cheers everybody. It was a long week. Happy Memorial Day!

Re: Unreleased Tunes
Han,
If you took what I said as an absolute, then that is on you. I'm not a journalist, nor a professor of linguistics, I push freight for a living.
All I was doing was stating my opinion. What does it matter how I worded it? It's a post on a message board, not a thesis toward a degree.
On TK, UR and various hard rock sites, there have been Q&A sessions and interviews over the years with folks who wrote, recorded and toured with Randy. The question of unreleased/unrecorded material with him has been posed many times and always answered in the negative.
Therefore, I take the subject as fact and relayed it as such.
Again, Andrew posed a question, I thought I would provide an answer with what I learned not only from those Q&As, and what I've read in books and magazines since I was a freshman in 1982, but also from what senior members of both sites had discussed since 2002-03.
You really seem to be troubled by my absolute/finite statement, as you brought it up two more times since the first. Should I edit it? Would you be able to rest easier?
How about get over it, instead?
If you make the choice to be argumentative and an instigator, you'll find yourself counted out of the conversation, and not just with me.
If you continue to have a problem with my posts or things I say, you can always click on my profile and set me to "Foe", that way you won't be troubled by how I word things and hopefully find some peace.

But he doesn't understand the English language? No, he didn't state something as fact? But he said it wasn't. Okay, I shouldn't people who poorly choose their words bother me.
