Sounds like there will be more re-issuing of the reissues to follow, if I'm reading the formal press release correctly:
On May 31, music fans will have their first taste of re-issues from rock icon OZZY OSBOURNE's catalog of work with the releases of two albums which form the cornerstone of Ozzy Osbourne's career as a solo artist: Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman (Epic Records/Legacy Recordings).
The way that spiteful bitch is currently operating, perhaps Tribute will be re-released with the two Daisley/ Kerslake tracks removed
As far as the Palladium footage goes, it is what it is and it's more than we have now, and the pessimism is bringing down every thread the footage is discussed.

Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!
As far as the new footage goes the reason I am somewhat let down is because this stuff about three minute clips is just now coming to the surface. I was expecting whole songs.
I have a video that is actually the best live concert footage I have see of Randy. If it was not for what I call washed out from bright lights it would be great. It says 05.21.81 New York and it is part of a well put together DVD of best known Randy footage. This New York footage has all of IDK, CT, and part of Believer. I'm wondering what it was recorded with. If it was not quite so washed out it would be fantastic.

I wonder too, we got I don't know and Crazy Train complete there. No gaps after 3 minutes in the songs so it was probably not super8? So what did they use to record that?
1. there were people at the anniversary in March that saw NBM, CT, Mr.C, and SATN, did they see an entire song or only 3 minutes?
and where did the videos start? (we only need 1 confirm of a full song not to worry too much)
2. If that's true, only 3 minutes, maybe starting with CT, how many songs will we get to see a "glimpse" of?
(30 minutes could be 10 different songs!) (more on this later...)
3. If it's true about super 8mm, then that means that the arizona brothers DOAM footage must also be in 3 minute segments.
one last thought, I hope the person filming was familiar with the songs and didn't load during the solo and film the in-between sections with talking and such.
If the guy starts the filming with CT, to let the security settle down, we get this:
CT - solo begins at 2:54 (probably won't get this solo)
Believer - solo begins at 3:26 (probably won't get this solo)
Mr. Crowley - first solo at 2:15 ( so this is good here), if he changes tapes, second solo at 4:13 (maybe both here)
Flying High Again - solo at 1:58 (so this should be good)
Revelation - solo at 5:00, (possible he changes during keyboard part)
Steal Away - the whole song is 3:21, so this is a safe bet (except if he changes during revelation, then time runs short here)
No Bone Movies - again the song is short, solo at 1:17 (we've seen a clip with partial solo on this)
Suicide Solution - solo at 3:23, not likely we'll get this solo if the 3-minute rumor is true
Iron Man/COTG/Paranoid - I've never heard anything about these being recorded live, but 30 minutes is going to be heaven for
any real Randy fan!
So it is possible that what sharon said is true and its 20 minute length reels.
Lets wait until the 31st and all will be revealed. I think you are all worrying over nothing.

Maybe ... maybe not.
When we do film to video transfers, we charge based on the running time of the film. The following tables will allow you to estimate how much a job will cost. The longer spool length estimations are based around the average lengths of several small films joined together, minus a few little bits (most people join together just the parts that they want, rather than the entire film, which often includes mistakes and blank sections). All the measurements are approximate.
We can handle individual films on the small 3 inch spools, up to the 7 inch size. If you're going to splice several films onto a larger spool, do not fill the spool right up to the edge.
Perhaps Frank could weigh in on this, as he's obviously a fan and someone who was there. His recollections, as well as others were to the effect of getting choked up and/or being stunned. Four songs were named and no one who was at the memorial and witnessed the footage has said "Yeah the footage was fantastic, but the songs were broken up and incomplete, other than that, it was the bomb!", so I'm going under the assumption they were the full tracks.
It could also be that the footage is only 30 minutes in length as the Osbournes chose to excise those songs from the set/footage that were incomplete when the guy was switching out reels, and only made a DVD out of full songs. Maybe those partial songs wound up being used during the interview segments of the 30YATB doc.
It'd be kind of goofy to create all of this hoopla over some diced up footage that cuts out halfway through the second verse, or comes in while the solo is underway. They'd be better off cleaning up and releasing After Hours. Every press release has touted the Palladium footage as 30 minutes of never before seen/ bootlegged video, they've made it a point to call attention to it. Everyone is anticipating it.
They know how quickly word of mouth travels in this day and age. It only takes a few people to let the world know on facebook that the footage is hacked up and incomplete songs. Most would back away from the box very quickly, and Sony would once have to do damage control, as well as have a shitload of costly inventory that can't be sold.
The '02 debacle gave them some bad PR. Sharon is powerful, but not almighty, I'm sure some of the higher-ups at Sony or Epic, took her aside and let her know in no certain terms that she had better have her duckies in a row with this project, as false advertising turns into a class action lawsuit.
A former bass player and drummer you can fuck over fairly easily, apparently. I'm not so sure the same could be said for hordes of pissed off fans/customers.

??? Any unseen RR/OO footage can be thrown in and the fans wouldn't complain. I was more worried about what little footage they have being not shown in it's entirety. Like panning back to reaction shots. I'll take any clip of Randy, any length. Incomplete song don't bother me Sony or Sharon!!! Show everything! I think most fans understand any Randy footage is a treat!
Started a thread over at TK asking those who were present at the memorial to comment if any songs were complete, so keep an eye on that...in the meantime, TA has replied so far:
I believe Frank had told me at the memorial they saw 4 complete songs. Not sure how much more we will get on the DVD though? Maybe Frank can confirm that.

We have waited over 20+ years for this kind of footage, some of us on here (not me) have paid big $'s to see just 5 minutes glimpses of RR, everyone went mad over the soundcheck footage as it was new and yet......
we are days aways from seeing footage of RR performing LIVE in concert, performing songs that we could only have dreamed about and still people are not satisfied.
It beggars belief.
If someone would have said 10 years ago - here you go here is 3 mins of Randy tearing it up in Crazy Train - never been seen before footage - EVERYONE would have been absolutley over the moon! But people are just never ever satisfied.
I do not like Sharon O$bourne and tbh my impression of Ozzy has waived over the years, however, fair play to them.
Ok, so it is costing a fair amount of money - but just step back off the merry go round for 2 minutes and look at what we are getting.?!
Just be thankful we are getting something - the chance to see our hero playing LIVE - Sharon and Ozzy have spent the money getting this to the highest possible standard they can - for us fans.
I will savour every minute of the footage and will no doubt be playing it 1000's of times over like Tribute.
I dont really care what they have and dont have and what they are wishing to release - just look at what they ARE releasing and be thankful for once.
