My experience was fun. I had a good time at the record store I visited in St. Petersburg, FL. They had very limited quantities. Only four of the 7" single and only a couple of Blizzard and Diary.

I waited in a small line. Most people wanted the Ozzy release. Many were let down to find the four sold out quickly. I don't know why it was so limited. Anyway, I bought the 7" single. They gave me the poster for free and the little ad came with the single. The ad has the box set on it. The poster says that the release is May 17th. I didn't buy Blizzard and Diary because I pre-ordered the box set.

Thanks for the pic...I guess the date of the 17th could be considered official, as they went through the trouble of having those printed up.
Silver, is the 17th reflected on that small flyer above the single?
30 days from yesterday, then...
Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!

Hmmm, not really sure what the actual date will be. The poster has the date of May 17th, the small ad has the date of May 20th for the two albums and doesn't say anything about when the box set is to be released. However, the albums were released on Record Store Day.

When I pre-ordered the box set, they state that it will arrive ON or BEFORE May 31st. That is probably to cover their asses. I'm assuming it will be released on May 17th and the date people receive it will depend on where they live.

Anyone in the UK or Europe have an extra (new) Flying high again 45 from record day? I'd trade a US version for it.

Silver Rhoads - Cool Randy photo! I never saw that one before. There were B&W photos taken around Ridge farms or pubs with the same suspender dealeos in the '80. I'm assuming it's 80?

The avatar photo is from Shepperton Studios. The larger version of the photo might have been posted either here or at TK.

This one is a cool rare one that I liked as well.

You're welcome. I like it too, not just because it's backstage and candid, but Randy looks happy there.
