If they don't get a mention i think thats just down right 100% ignorant. To set the record straight and to have them back on the albums and then totaly blank the pair of them. They cannot tell the Blizzard story without those 2 vital ingredients. A bitter pill for the O's to swallow and if they don't get mentioned. You could see that this whole package has been planned from the start, when Trojillo and Bordin redone those albums.
Exactly what I thought. Especially for Bob. I mean lets face it, It's obvious that these albums wouldn't have happened without him and his input.

I also think that at some point, as good a guitarist Randy is, I just think that at times even he asked Bob for some guidance in writing, especially being Heavy Metal. With his time in Rainbow and with Ritchie I think he learnt an incredible amount to take to Ozzy. Which would have been why he was hired.

I'm not just saying this as a fellow Aussie who is just proud of an export, I'm saying this as I truly beleive that Randy, Bob (and Lee) were the one's who wrote these songs and made this album happen. Even when the stories about Ozzy being the one to come up the melodies for songs I sometimes think is bullshit.

So while I do think they'll get a mention and I mean 'Mention', their contributions won't be recognized for what they are which I think is a bit of a tragedy as they played such a major part in writing some of the best songs in history.

Well i honestly think this was all done for a get rich quick scheme. They have been rereleasing the back catalogue for years. But when they swapped those parts over for Trojillo and Bordin. Did they do that just to be a pair of assholes or did they do this because they had planned to rerelease them with the original tracks with Bob & Lee. Because they would of seen the negative vibe straight away. All this crap about Ozzy not knowing what was going on. What a load of bolloxs i'm sure his drummer and bass player would of just not mentioned it to him at the time... But getting back to the documentary i just have a gut feeling they are not going to be civil and act responsible on Bob & Lee's behalf. It just sucks how they have been back healed and totally forgoting. They deserve to be credited on both albums and i hope they have corrected Diary this time. If the O's ever had a falling out with the Rhoads family would they have the balls to remove Randy's playing ?. As far as these being 2 classic albums, which to me are timeless. Those will always be the 2 most talked about albums in Ozzy's entire career.

Do you really think so? I'm pretty sure it was just to maximize profits by cutting out recording royalties to Bob and Lee. I'm by no means any expert on the legal stuff between the O's and Bob and Lee, and neither is anyone on here as that's between the respective parties and in all honestly, their business.

I highly doubt they would rerecord the tracks just so they could release the originals nearly a decade later so as to 'double dip' on fans and listeners. It almost sounds like a conspiracy theory, lol.
If they were to have a falling out with the Rhoads family hey would still release them and just pay the proper funds due. I only say this because they probably thought no one would care or notice the drums and bass were replaced.

I'm by means anti-Ozzy (or Ozzy camp) at all btw, if anyone was maybe getting that vibe. I have nothing but respect for the guy and what he has done for Heavy Metal in both his Sabbath career and Solo career. And after seeing his show when he last came to Melbourne, I must say he's a great performer none the less.

And I'm sorry to go off topic a little, but lets face it, the teaser wasn't much to go by, lol.

How true. I have been on both sides of the speculation. Worried and excited. I make no apologies, because of past Ozzy releases/Down to earth-after hours/2002 bastardized and no YSIA/Crowley EP, however I still remain a fan because of the content. THIS SHOULD BE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT RELEASE OF OO/RR IN 25 YEARS!!! Tribute was due & was owed to the fans. Same with the QR/Debrow RR years... It sad that bootlegs are still the main source of unreleased RR material. This Is a long time coming! If Ozzy screws the pooch on this one, 'e's out. Right out. RANDY! RANDY! We want Randy Rhoads!

The perfect cover for the O's as not to make any fuss and the first thing you say when those parts have been redone. The bastards they've removed them because of the court proceedings etc. Be it true or not ? so why did they put those originals back together. To resell a different version, as the Trojillo & Bordin versions got slagged that much that they would notbe able to sell those as the 30th anniversay reissues. $haron must of totaly progrudged having to go back to the starting blocks and put right what she'd originaly fucked up on. Plus having to pay out more performance royalties to Bob & Lee. Remember she is in it for the money and a shit product doesn't sell very well.

Well if you truly believe that then you must view $haron as one real cunning bitch, lol.
I really think now they were probably told by someone to include the original tracks for a 30th anniv remaster. Like an industry professional.

I don't think it's a matter of how well these will sell (even as I read that now I'm stupid, lol), but rather more or less doing the 'right' thing and at least acknowledging what occurred 30 years ago regardless of their current relationship. At the end of the day, how you call it a 30th Anniversary if half of the recording was done barley a decade ago.

At least now though we are getting something decent. I mean the original Tracks remastered will be fantastic, regardless of what Video is on there.

I hope I'm wrong, but ... I don't think the fans are gonna win on this one either. I think ironfaces description could be painfully accurate. I wont give them 150+ to see Rob Halford speak of Randy.
The O's unfortunately have dumped on us too many times over the last 25+ yrs. I don't really even look forward to hearing a 2010 remix of GTR or an updated 2011 remix of the album either. I like the old sound, the original sound, I like the imperfections, and the mix that they have, and that Max Norman signature sound. I don't want them changed or highlighted. I got used to the recordings that made them classics originally and multi-platinum. Things are fine just the way they were since 1981, EXCEPT for RR not being here today. Bob and Lee deserve MEGA-CREDIT, and asking the O's to do proper after all this time is just a fantasy, and very sad / pathetic. I have the original pic discs from old school and the original posters already, why do I want reprints ? ... The gold Ozzy Cross, they could keep it. I do not look forward to the "new sound" on the LP's, but I HOPE I AM WRONG. I am saddened that I feel like this, but all this time has now passed, and all we got is TRIBUTE ? !!! What a shame ... RR should be hailed as the ALL -TIME METAL GUITARIST, but instead all we get is an RR magazine cover or poster in a 30 year time span.. very sad .... A larger MOVEMENT needs to take place, and over the years THE FANS WILL DEMAND IT ! Demand Justice !!! Just Say "NO" to the O's ... lol ... And give us the RR footage !! sold seperately also .. for $19.99 at best Buy and Target.

THE BLIZZARD OF OZZ - Ozzy, Lee, Bob, Randy, Sharon/Yoko Ono - sad.

Yeah i can just imagine $haron saying this on the docu.... Well when we removed the original bass player and drummer from those albums. We made one hell of a mistake, we felt SOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!! bad about it that we contacted both Lee & Bob. BLAH BLAB BULLSHIT....
It had to be done with the originals like you said, they'd look soft trying to sell the bastardised versions as a 30th anniversary box set. So they've made money from the shit versions, and the old is reissued with a bow and a fancy box... That'll be $150.00 thank you very much!!!!... Very clever Mrs O.
