But I think its Cool that the Bootleg footage Coincidentaly is the Tribute cover!
And the Palladium is shown too.....But on the one thats been around for years Ozzy's wearing the White Fringe & on the Trailer the Navy Blue/Black one.

Sharon did say we have "TWO SHOWS" & that the "Tapes were only 20 mins before they had to be changed" So I'm hoping that is Mutiple Cameras....AHHHH The Suspence is Keeping me up at Night!! But My PRE-ORDER Is IN!!!!!

Where would I get the original source (noise and all) in lossless? I'm an audio engineer who chooses not to work in the biz anymore and I restore LP's as a hobby. I'd would like to try my hand at this one.

Just as a tip, the best way to post the tape would be to record about 1 sec of the tape player by itself, then press play and let it run through to the end and make that a track. And do the same for side 2. That way all proper noise profiles can be obtain and effective noise reduction can be used. If it was recorded with a type of Dolby, use the same type on play back (the extra stuff you hear when it's turned off is only exaggerated high end, mastering can do a better job of clearing up high frequencies).

Instead of Crazy Train, I was wondering if they wouldn't try to push the guitar/vocal mix of GTR as a single, as Ozzy has had good chart success with ballads in his career.
Though that is easily Bob's best bass playing on that album, I'd be interested to hear the mix of just Ozzy and Randy, and I could see them doing a promo video of that song using live footage and photographs, much like the CT promo from '87.

I love this vid, seeing randy talk, amazing. Im looking forward to the twitter updates on the boxset and when its actually going to be released in the uk, starting to get a little worried but have faith.

I didn't want to start yet another topic concerning the box, and this thread is the current hot one, so I thought I'd share some news that Ironface posted over at TK...hope he doesn't mind:

I just recently heard from a buddy in the music biz that got an advanced copy of the boxset. It only had the Ozzy doc and did not include the "Bonus material" that will (or shall I say "should") include the live video material. But as we know some of it is mixed into the doc as we saw in the trailer. Here's a teaser on that.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS: DO NOT READ IF YOU WOULD RATHER BE SURPRISED AFTER SHELLING OUT $150 BUCKS!


On the doc they showed video of "Crazy Train"-Live-but with no audio whatsoever. Crowley was definitely the true audio-no overdubs-but when the solo began they cut to a shot of Zakk on the couch playing the solo. . The tiny bit shown of "No Bone Movies" and "Revelation" (about 25 seconds worth and only showing Ozzy)seem to be the actual audio. What they show of "Believer" seems to be actual audio as well. No "Steal Away: The Night" video was included in the doc but was shown at the March 19th memorial. I will bet that the 30 minutes of bonus footage is I Don't Know, Crazy Train, Believer, Mr. Crowley, Flying High Again, Revelation Mother Earth, Steal Away The Night and No Bone Movies. According to an inside source the Palladium footage is not in it's entirety, as reported, only 30 minutes worth. There is footage included of them playing No Bone Movies with the original live audio, but they keep cutting away to a shot of Ozzy sitting on his couch, watching the footage, and saying, "Wow, I've never seen this." Again, they should have shown the footage instead of Ozzy 'watching' the footage. That's about it for Blizzard. There are more clips, but no audio, just voiceover about the bat, the dove, the Alamo, and Ozzy's drinking.

The Diary clips with Randy seen in the trailer are pretty much all that is shown in the doc except for a shot of Randy's hands being zoomed in on for the "Over The Mountain" solo. I hear none of the Diary footage has the original audio in the doc. Of course it' still unknown if we will be seeing any of this in the bonus material live portion. Sounds doubtful with the Palladium footage sounding like at least 30 minutes worth. No word on if we get After Hours in it's entirety but clips are shown all through the doc.

As for the live audio disc, I've head it isn't Tribute or the King Biscuit show as a guy who says he is familiar with both informed me. (Said it sounded similar though sonically, so I am wondering if maybe it is Montreal but has a new sound on it like "Tribute" did.) It isn't Southhampton either as most of us know already and the reason that was listed early on I've heard is because it was intended but when things with somebody fell through it was scrapped. Don't know how true that is but that is what I've heard.

I,ll buy the Blizz/Diary Cds and wait for Ozz/Sharron to re-release the DVD in a "tour edition" like with Black Rain and Scream...........

Like it or not, you might have to let go of the comments Sharon made at that press conference, as she also mentioned the session audio of the guys jamming, talking, joking and such. We know that stuff got pulled.
Again, you have to watch that Bay Area Rocks interview where Kelle Rhoads comments on his family being conned and screwed over by the folks at Dakota.
The Osbournes aren't going to release something that the Rhoads feel so strongly against. They wouldn't be able to anyway, as the family has the rights to Randy's name and image. Sharon has his music/publishing rights, which would only make up a small part of the Dakota film.
Even if the Osbournes somehow were able to release it, it would not be something I'd want to see, as so much of that film would suddenly hit the cutting room floor, as much of it is not going to paint them in a very favorable light, we got that vibe from the trailer alone.
Dakota would have done better by including everyone but Sharon and Ozzy, as he doesn't remember much, and she remembers her own version of how things were.
Folks like to point out her tears and breaking down during the Japanese doc, but she also said that they would have waited for Randy while he went to get his degree. If you believe that, I have many lovely bridges across this country I'd love to sell to you.
They were on their second guitarist before Randy was gone a month. Both either wearing Randy's haircut or clothes.
I can't wait to see their own little "30 Years After" doc, to see how they remember things. It should be a doozy

Tom, I feel that any doc' is a little redundant now unless it features new video etc! many of the people close to Randy have become jaded and the fans have begun to question the choices made by those guarding randy's legacy because some things that have been decided seem odd if his legacy and body of work were being promoted etc!

I have strived to find more footage and audio and that is all that concerns me I stopped caring about what Randy's friends, bandmates and family thought long ago, they all seem in it for what they can get and leave few (if any) out of that group.

That doesn't mean I am slighting them I just am not interested in them any longer, I can think of few people like Randy who in life seem like such honest kind and decent were surounded by such unpleasent or greedy people.

Sorry if that upsets any of you it is just what I have come to realise as the years have passed by.
