I am a little dissapointed that the vid's are not new shows, ie, we already had these shows in the boot collections etc! so as a lifelong collector of RR audio I hope that the promisied Southampton show sees the light of day soon.
I am not trying to sound pissy! I just hoped that what we got was completely new.

Ian i was thinking the same, the quality of this show would of been great. Not just a simple desk recording but done through a recording mobile studio. I don't think any soundboard material has came from this line up. So i would of liked to have heard this in its entirity. Fingers crossed mate this may come out in the future.

its jacksons flagship model and it was only in his hands that long.. pretty amazing feat. for a then not famous yet guitar.

and look how rare good pics are with him playing that guitar.

Axe, thanks for the sample, your remaster is better than the first one posted. Any chance you can post the whole concert in mp3?

Sounds like this is just about as much as we can get out of this recording. Much more pulling up and down on the eq slides will cause tearing and ripping in the audio I bet, make it super shrill, etc etc. This little bit you posted sounds much clearer than the first.

Where would I get the original source (noise and all) in lossless? I'm an audio engineer who chooses not to work in the biz anymore and I restore LP's as a hobby. I'd would like to try my hand at this one.

I'd like to know too. I'm an engineer as well, for video games. Don't delve much into the music side. I'd love to hear what you can do with the original though blues.
