Hey Whipper, cool idea with the dots in your sig!

If you do manage to get on the Record Store Day site, they are showing Blizzard and Diary as regular vinyl ... no bonus material. They are listed well below the 45 section which has the Flying High Again single. If no one else has advertised the boxed set, I'm pretty sure that means it's a Sony/Ozzy exclusive. Unless they release it later to stores, but I wouldn't want to take the chance. I ordered mine when it came back up the second time.

Thanks, I couldn't resitst. Likewise, I didn't want to take a chance on it not showing up in stores here, at least not immediately anyway. But I think you're right, it's looking like it'll be exclusive to the Ozzy store.

Still trying to decide what to do here, and though nothing has been said, I get the feeling brick and mortar stores may get this.
Why? Well, I'm trying to figure why they would put a release date on an item, then let customers know that they could get the item anywhere from three to ten days after?
So, if this is exclusive to the Ozzy store only, those in a best case scenario would get theirs on Friday, June 3.
A worst case scenario would be Saturday the 11th, and if whatever carrier they're using doesn't roll on Saturdays, those folks are looking at Tuesday the 14th, a full two weeks after the release date, as the shipping industry generally doesn't work Sundays.
This was also in the FAQ section in the lower part of the checkout section of the preorder page:

When I pre-order an item will I get it the same day it is available in stores?
Whenever feasible we aim to deliver your items on the day they are available in stores, provided you ordered early enough to allow for processing and delivery. Please refer to the delivery date estimates during the checkout process.
When will I get my order?
•Estimated delivery is 3 to 10 business days after the ship date

I asked my buddy last night if he had heard anything, but it is still too early to tell with the way information is given in the recording industry these days. Once we get to 30 days until the date, we may get a better idea.
I would rather wait and be able to drive 15 minutes to his store on the 31st and get it on sale, (or his employee discount!), than be locked in to an internet sale and play the waiting game.
Maybe this won't go to places like WalMArt or Best Buy, but it may go to the chains that participated in the Record Store Day event.
Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!

I called a local record store that is also participating in record store day and asked them if they will be getting this Deluxe Box Set on May 31st. The person I talked with said that he would know more when it gets closer to the release date but, he thought that they would be getting some of them in! :D I am going to call them back first week in May and see if I can get any new information OR possible pre-order it from them and pick it up the day it comes out 8)

I'll keep everyone up to date!!!

UPDATE!! Well, I called Three local record/cd stores today to see if they could give me any new info on the 30th anniversary box set and the first store said they will probably get them in but didn't know how much they would be? I ask if I could possibly pre-order it so I would be guaranteed to receive it when it comes out May 31st. The person I talked to took my name and telephone number and said he will call me when he knows more, it sounded like he wouldn't know much until about a week before they get them in??? :? The second store said they will probably be getting them and I could call them in the morning of May 31st and they will hold one for me or put my name on one to be purchased?? :? :x The Third store also said they would be getting them in, but basically couldn't give me any new info?????

I don't know what to think? I still haven't pre-ordered and I'm hoping that THIS box set will be available at other retail stores other than off of the Ozzy.com website.

Has anyone heard any new information from there local record/cd store in your area! What are your thoughts on this!!!!!

Thanks! Scott

If your record stores are like any around here i live (Kentucky) they will not have this set. lol

If i were you guys I would preorder. Have you noticed the only place that has it for sale is ozzy's website. its not on Amazon or any of the online stores.

If Amazon doesn't have it... Joe Blow record store on the corner of 4th and Main def isn't gonna have it.

What sucks about pre orders is that you don't get them the day of it's released. I've done before and waited like two weeks after it's release.

Was just at my local chain today who did participate in RSD, (Newbury Comics here in New England...don't let the name deceive you, these folks have been purveyors of import books and music for years!), and though the computer was being problematic, the guy who looked it up said he could see a "Blizzard/Diary collection going for $160, to be released on 5/31"
That is obviously it, and is in their system, I'm going to try a different location tomorrow to see if I can get any further info, but I would say the box isn't an Ozzy store exclusive :D

Yeah it would make sense to have as many outlets to sell this box set. They may have set the item up at the Ozzy site only to get an estimate on how many of these they going to sell. Remember everyone doesn't go shopping on line and everyone doesn't own a PC / laptop. I'm sure it will be open to more mail order companies nearer the release date. Alot of the sites don't deal in vinyl, only CD DVD etc.
