No one knows if there is more to be released - hell, the current stuff hasn't been released and Oz has a habit of insinuating releases that don't happen... who's to say this isn't more about keeping Ozzy relevant and less about Randy Rhoads? Ozzy's about done as a rock star, but he can re-release forever. Just like Disney does with "new" releases of ancient films every couple years - new generation, "new" release.

There's also the aspect of "will it sell?" 2000 RR "fans" on message boards don't make for a good return on investment as far as a musical release. 50,000 is Gold, so 2000 is what, dirt? They'll release this and if it sells well (i.e. they make money) there will be more.

This release is totally about keeping Ozzy relevant. At least Sharon and Co know to include hot items and products that will ensure sales to some degree.

They love Randy and appreciate his greatness to no end, but again...this is not 'Tribute', there is no co-headlining...This is all about Ozzy and showing how he was the madman, while some well-deserved homages to Randy are included.

Where are you from? Toronto, London, Hamilton? I had a a few friends up there some I traded tapes and put them on CDR for the both of us. Ron Watsome was a guy I traded with up there along with the publisher from Hot Wacks and a certain gentleman named Grant from Hamilton who put together a little thing called Zepfest. I also agree! This is to show his (Ozzy's) finest releases. The damn double-sided poster is Ozzy on both sides! We get the replica cross, instead of a replica RR item. The cross is to be used as ... a paper weight? I kid, I kid!

Though I do remember reading that there were supposed to be replicas from the tours, along with guitar picks and some other stuff. They must have decided against that.

It's not a tribute to Randy, but hopefully the coffee table book will have a ton of Randy in it. I could be wrong and can imagine what these boards will be like when we find out.

Not sure if you're joking here or what, but I read through this thread and HanSolo made a smartass/negative comment over a legitimate idea. GuitarIdol attack HanSolo and the bullshit commenced. Eventually the bullshit gets tiring and GuitarIdol says, I'm and adult "Who has been around the block abit, but either way, think before you type and i'll do the same."

I simply was pointing out that this trend of attacking and then saying "we should all think before we type" is a hallmark of the RR forums be it hear or at .tk (RR.US has such a limited forum that it doesn't creep up much there). Maybe we should actually put that idea into practice rather than just saying it all the time.

I've never claimed to be perfect, GI, I just would like to see a mature discussion online without petty, childish attacks on people. I've done the same thing in the past, I realized it's not cool and I'm trying to get that point across to others. Change never happens if you ignore the behavior you want to change.

Cool point Paul, but remember that people's comments will be read and taking differently. Some people come back and say "Hey!! im fooling with you". But they've just called them a fucking Asshole yeah. So some people do laugh it off. Some try to get clever and use 'word stuff' to belittle people. When they decided here to make this a forum to let your mouth flow and not be as conservative as TK. So be it, i've explained myself enough to let everyone know what i'm saying. Hansolo may have fans and friends here but he ain't going to win my vote. Like you with HP etc you've had your gloves on with people here and that was the comment i was making above. exactly right. Some people are getting their panties in twists over this being "for Randy" and it really has nothing to do with Randy. It's ALL about Ozzy and like you said, with a couple quick shout-outs to Randy.....and thats IT.

Ozzy and Sharon would never have all their MILLIONS if it wasn't for Randy writing those songs w/Ozzy and all those memorable riffs. Just for an example, where would Ozzy's career went w/out "crazy train" ? Thats right. Nowhere but club status. You could make a case for Bob Daisley here as well. Without those Blizzard + Diary songs = NO millions..........I know these thoughts have been thrown around before, but i feel like i must say it again.
It would be nice for Ozzy to step up and say "its Randy, all about Randy", considering the way he died and the millions upon millions they've pocketed, largely due to the efforts of Randy and Bob.

totally agree...in a way though, the Osbournes are screwed, because if they do a 'praise Randy' release...the prevalent negative society in which the world we live today will only view it as a money grab, which sucks for the rest of us.

But to me this set isn't just about Randy nor should it be... its about the whole period.. its about Ozzy, Randy, Bob, Lee, Tommy, Rudy, Don, Lindsey and everyone involved. BUT RANDY is a massive part of that.. and I think its clear that the doc is gonna focus on RANDY RHOADS. What more can we really ask for?? We have to be logical. Also, while Randy name isn't on the box, you have to love the Polka Dots on the top!!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing what's in this Ozzy box set. I can then get an idea of what could be made as a 30th anniversary package for Randy's memorial. Something very much on the same line of the Blizzard & Diary packages but as mentioned we could see the Tribute album being put out as an anniversary package with extras. All the pics that turn up here we can guarantee an excellent book, with a replica RR ring. But the potential is there and the Osbournes are looking after the Rhoads estate. So it'll be money in the bag for both parties. Remember $haron said she had 2 shows. So was that the 2 we are seeing now or has another one been found since then ?. As i'm sure something did come to light after the O's seen the PM docu. Some live footage or a few tracks came from that docu.
