Just wondering, have any of our British members made the trip to Ridge Farm? I've heard it costs a king's ransom to stay at the place, but have any of you gone just to look from a distance or visit nearby pubs and whatever?
I love the irony that such intense music was created in what looks like such a peaceful, mellow area.

It's somewhere i've always fancied visiting. It has an amazing back catalogue of some great recording bands / artists which are listed on this Ridge Farm website below. Sadly they stopped using the place for recording in 2002. But it can still be hired as a dry room as long as you have all the desks and sound gear your laughing. I'd hate to ask how much that would cost you ??.

I had a look through flickr.com to see if any new pics from Ridge Farm had been posted there. I found this one from last year, it ties in well from the pic with Ozzy & co.

Heres some photos myself and my brother took a few years ago,one of which peter used in the trailer to the randy documentry (the one of The Plough pub which the band used to visit between recording sessions). The place is SO old and if you look at pics taken of the band during 1980 and 1981,it really hasnt changed at all!,its very difficult to find, just one hand painted sign by the road side that says 'Ridge Farm',I kind of like the fact its quite a secret place ;-)...enjoy the pics

Notice the little leaded windows,I looked through the one which is seen from inside the sleeve of the Tribute album. Its the black and white pic of randy playing his les paul....very eerie looking through that window as nothing had really changed.

Please enjoy this often overlooked piece of Randys history, its amazing to think Randys beautiful work was set in stone inside that old tiny little building!.The place really is as peaceful as you can imagine...

Thanks for sharing those pics, i gather the second pic down was the place the promo pics (group posed shot) where taking. I noticed the leaded glass window you can see it to Randy's right in the pic below. Did you get a guided tour of the place.
'The Plough' pub i'm sure that has a photo up on the wall of the Blizzard line up they are sitting in the corner and Randy has the black LP with him. Did you see the photo i'm on about ?. Cheers again
