The way the van halen and RR footage have been handled is an inexcusable abomination.Its damaging, not protecting the legacy.WTF is the matter with these peeps and their personal discretions?
VH is the best live band ever yet you cant obtain official early stuff.Their reputation and legacy would greatly increase with the release of footage.Duh!Randy's name is fading from memory not gaining.If you want to maintain the legacy why would you try hiding this footage?WTF is in the water in noho and studio city?

I was at Musonia 3 weeks age and like I previously posted Kelle was not aware of any footage being released -doc included. It's my understanding the reason we have seen the release of the jackson ,les paul and marshall is because Kelle and Kathy are having alot more say in what gets released. I thanked him for all of the releases and expressed how much US the fans would cherish ANY new releases(oics of the guitars/straps-chip pan-clothes-music ,video) he just gave me the look and"wink" and said I know what the fans want. Honestly after being there I believe the family if proud of RR and especially proud of how he has been a positive influence on so many but...I don't see them spending every waking moment trying to promote RR. I see it more of a mutual respect or "duty" to the fans who respect and appreciate RR . If there is anything to be released I believe Kelle will be the driving force.He has opened up the vault alot for us in the last few years and I don't think he will keep things locked up when it's decision to make. Until then I don't expect anything-BOO box set included-I specifically asked about it and the family was just at a Ozzy show the week before I was there so they spoke to the O's and there was no news there about new songs or footage

I suppose there might be a tiny chance that he was keeping any news quiet??? lets face it know one new about the marshall coming out or the jackson or the les paul until the "official" announcements

This whole situation right now is crazy... For the ads to appear on Ozzy's website, then get taken down a little while after the fans started checking them out, and talking about them online.
Obviously something is up, as usual with this saga. I really dont believe that Ozzy could "tweet" about sharing never before seen footage with Randy later this year on a dvd, and Sharon saying that they are releasing footage that would be "all boxed together" with the 30th anniversary release without everything being absolutely set in stone as far as it being released...
We still have not heard the full details of all the releases that are coming out for this anniversary of Rock and Roll history, and really cant say that the footage is not being included. Until we get the full details we really shouldn't get our hopes up just yet.

Well maybe the ad was pulled from the sony site because it was incorrect? Like it didnt list everything were getting? The footage is still coming and we have no reason to believe its not until we actually get the boxset in our hands or they actually tell us were not getting it. I know people are leery after all the failed attempts..doc, books etc.. Even Zakk saw the footage and confirmed its what we have all been waiting for. Regardless how many times we have been burned, I choose to remain optimistic for the time being.

No Southampton show as far as I can read, but look at this picture (click to enlarge):

I think that Southampton is not correct, because that's a show from 1980.
It should be Montreal from 1981 and this live cd should be the 2nd disc of Diary of a madman, instead of the dvd.

Maybe this mistake is the reason why it's taken off-line?

I still want to see something in writing about available in Britain and Europe though because if this becomes difficult to obtain outside the USA I am going to be so fucking angry, considering this band was built in Britain about 3 miles from Skezza's house.

I agree, Ian. It would make no sense whatsoever if the US were to get anything more than the UK. Like you said, the band was formed there in the UK, you folks should get anything that's exclusive.
