I do like the idea of somebody trying to steal photos off god's mantle peice or fire place, 10points to yer for that.

I have been a RR fan for nearly 30 years, I have also been around here for a while and TK a lot longer, this is my first post.

Polkadot - You wonder why nothing gets released? No videos, very few new pictures, The documentry info disappeared?

Tell you what....... re read all of the posts you have just made on this topic......

as far as owning pictures, that's bs, he dosen't own the pictures. GOD owns the pictures. try to wrap your brains around that. Just like how Native Americans believe a photo steals your soul, You can't sell Randys soul. You did not CREATE the image that's in your photos, therefore they are not "truly" yours to do with as you please or MOST importantly try to restrict what others do with them....No one owns a image anymore than anyone can try to lay claim to a sunset.

Argue with me all you want, but you shall never sway my belief system on this.

Bottom line, only problem I have is RockRhoadsPhotographer being a jerk.

Actually if god created the pictures then why dont you have god make you unlimited 24x36 blowup randy posters for free and fedex them to you overnight.Or UPS.At the same time have him send you a complete version of the 'stalled' margolis documentary?

Second point,ever notice how when dumb people try to make a factless,baseless argument that they always invoke God's name/being to support their argument?

Well I skimmed this thread and all I can say is that if someone took and has the copyright on them it is up to them to do with them as they wish.
I also know that rock photographer has been very kind to us RR fans and let us see them on site so to accuse him of being selfish is very unfare. I also think its fantastic that a member here is posting images of RR for us all to enjoy and I think it right that we observe all sensativities and that is a small price to pay for us pay, or be expected to observe.

These photographers had NOTHING to do with Randy Rhoads, all they did was merely document or save a second in time of HIS image. There's nothing special about what they did. If people want to give them money or praise them, or buy their photos that's fine.

But I will not stand by idle and listen to people like Rhoads rockphotographer try to intimidate or bully anyone on this forum or elsewhere for uploading pictures of Randy Rhoads, regardless of who took them.

Just because you take a picture of something does NOT mean you own it.

You may have legal copyrights given to you by MAN, but that don't mean crap to me, and if you stop and try to think on a higher dimension about it, as I do, then you will understand where I am coming from.

It's not anyones to sell or try to hoard.

Images are like butterflies and should remain forever free.

It's a image, a mere image. The same images of Randy Rhoads I would have seen of Randy had I been at his concert at that time, it is FREE to look at people and we store the images in our minds. No one owns them, I can look at anything I wanna look at in life, all of life, everything we see is simply made up of IMAGES.

Photographers can't just go around stealing Gods images of Randy and trying to intimidate others by trying to bully them with MANMADE copyright laws. God did all the work by making Randy, the photographers are simply taking a photo of it nothing more, God did all the craeting, not the photographers. Just like if you go to a Randy Rhoads concert and bootleg record his audio, you didn't compose his music or play his music, you just simply recorded it.

I dont get caught up in these arguments normally but you are way off the mark here. If a photographer is allowed by the band to take pictures and thats his profession then he has the rights to those photos. Its like when some one writes a song or a book they own the rights to it. if you can prove otherwise good luck, thats what the copy right law is there for. If they have the negatives or permission to use them that up to them.
they are artists, just like musicians and other people who make art, art is not just visual, its anything thats captures peoples imagination and inspires people art comes in so many forms and to just narrow it down to painters is wrong.
this is what the definition of what art is and it sums it up well:

religion has nothing to do with who owns something. its time to get down off your high horse and listen to what others have said.

I'm not gonna get wrapped up in the religious part as I am as well, but these photographers are trying to make a living just like you and me, by selling their photos they took and own, to make their money fairly.

That site is pretty nuts...but if you REALLY want to see the mental capacity (or lack thereof) of this man you need to hunt down the clip of him being on one of those TV Judge shows. I forget what he was suing for, I think a girlfriend's name was spelled wrong on his tattoo or something? If anyone has that clip please post - one of the most unintentionally hilarious clips you'll ever see hahahahaha

i got a lot of old friends in austin(lived & played there for years)no one knows who this guy is.
his links don't work & as far as i know he hasn't played the iconic spots on 6th....
