Post by deportationblues »

I'm looking to trim down my boot collection. Which 5 shows do you guys think are the best of the 1st leg of the '81 USA/Canada tour?

Thanks

In Rochester, Ozzy chants over the Bass intro to Believer, "Suck my cock." Which is an off comment. Never to repeat it again. The sound is good and there is a 96WCMF interview (Janet Miriam) when Ozzy got to town before afterhours 4/28/81 and the Auditorium Theatre 4/29/81 in which he talks about both. He also mentions Bark at the moon (3) and Killer of giants (4), if memory serves me well. By the way, the Auditorium is down the street and After Hours was shot downtown at 365 (If memory serves) East ave Roch, NY.

I love the Rochester show, toroto is good though I find it a little lacking in soul and sounds like a band going through the motions. Towson is good and is excelent quality very clear sounding and the first show that RR played in the USA with Ozzy!

Ozzy probably was often the killjoy getting boozed up and "getting through" (Get's me through) shows and hurrying through shows. Whereas Randy lived for the show...

Are we talking what 5 boots have the best sound? Or what five boots have the best playing or a combination of the two?
