I have just read this over at Bob Daisley's face book this has to be a mistake... God help us if it's true


Ozzy and $haron have tried to rewrite history time and time again with their twisted version of what really happened. Of course it was a band called The Blizzard of Ozz, no 'session players' involved other than the keyboard playe...rs - Don Airey on 'Blizzard' and John Cook on 'Diary'. Mrs. Rhoads is very old now and wouldn't want to be involved in any legal battles and besides, $haron manages the RR estate. Randy must be rolling in his grave. The whole story is in the book. This was an interesting snippet when someone was asking Bob what material he has from the Blizzard out takes and 'the Grail'.

I have rehearsals, writing sessions and general conversations. Also stuff like Randy trying out his pedal board for the first time and us experimenting with song ideas, some which were never recorded. I'd love for all this to be released but that'd be down to the O$bournes being fair about it, and we know how that goes... Cheers, Bob.

But Mrs. Rhoads still has the final say I guess... :

Margolis then told me that he could possibly get my tapes released because he had the rights to the name and likeness of Randy Rhoads for three years to do the film and that he represented the Rhoads estate. I 'phoned Mrs. Rhoads to see if that was true and I didn't even get to finish my question before she interrupted me with, "I own the name and likeness of Randy, no one else."

Alright guys,I cant disagree w/the Shit about Sharon & what she did to the recordings ect..ect.. but to be realistic,on the Rhoads part this wuld be a very wise descision.
She was born into the buisiness & knows every possible way to get the most out of anything owed.I just hope she is as Bob hopes "Fair".

We are never gonna see or hear any of this stuff (the documentary, the live vids, the rereleases, etc...) because everyone involved is bickering over money and how much of a cut of it they deserve. It really pisses me off. These a**holes can't put their greed and spite aside and do the right thing for the fans. It has been 28 years... Hell, there have been true fans that have waited their whole lives for this stuff to come to fruition and have died before they ever got to see or hear it. It is really tragic. Everyone involved has to get their heads out of their a** and do this one thing for the fans.

On top of that, I'm tired of seeing all these scumbags come crawling out of the woodwork to try and associate themselves with Randy in some way. The majority of our society is driven by greed and the opportunity to be "famous". It sickens me....

Right,I agree too! But you cant blame Bob for wanting what hes owed rather than giving "Priceless material that Ozzy himself doesnt even have" to PM to only turn around & Profit off of?? I mean W/all the Drama w/the ReRecordings & Creative editing,you cant blame him for wantingto see how hes portrayed before signing off.Ive seen alot of Behind the Music & other Documentarys where they take the interviewee'
words and make it appear as their talking about something else.

But in my Opinion,with the whole Fiasco that had ensued after the Doc--Mrs.Rhoads felt she had to turn to the Osbournes ,& ask for their help w/a product to fufil the fans who were only let down after theese almost 4 years.I bet she feels embaressed.

I do think Bob should get compensated. Actually, I think HE is the reason the songs on the first two Ozzy records are as good as they are. Sure Randy was a talented player, but how many guys do you have in your town that are phenominal players and never made it? How many do you see on youtube that just "have it"? Without a sage like Daisley involved I doubt Randy would have developed into what he eventually became. The Quiet Riot stuff is not really all that great... the only saving grace is Randy's playing, and even at that he hadn't really put it all together. The songwriting is definitely lacking. Not to make start another debate about who was "better" (neither... they are two different types of players), but the early VH stuff (from a song writing perspective) is miles better IMO, and still stands up today. The early QR stuff is forgettable at best.

Having said all that, Daisley comes off as bitter and spiteful in these recent interviews. Granted, I realize by all accounts Sharon isn't exactly easy to deal with but com'on now... you can't tell me that the financials can't be worked out fairly from both perspectives... someone has got to give. Seriously. If Bob is the reason for this stuff being halted, he needs to let it go... It has been nearly 30 years. I'm sure he's doing well financially, and in all honesty how much money is this project really gonna make? I'm sure it is quite a bit more than I'll ever see in my lifetime, but it is probably miniscule compared to a big release or major tour. Not to be disrespectful, but how many people out there really care enough about Randy to plunk down a sizeable amount of money for this box set? 5000? 10000? I would think that all you have to do is add up the number of active members on here or RR.tk to figure it out.

If it is money they are after, the sooner the better. Eventually, people WILL get tired of all this BS and drama and move on to something else. How long can you stay interested in anything when nothing new or interesting is released? Eventually people will get bored talking about what kind of shoes Randy wore. We are overdue to say the least. Obscenely expensive guitars, amps, or wine is not how you keep Randy's legacy alive... you do that by giving back to society the joy that was Randy's art... his music!

According to Kelle, the reason for the night and day difference between Randy's playing with Quiet Riot and Ozzy is he believes that QR was very restrictive of his playing, whereas Ozzy allowed him to play whatever he pleased, so he was free to explore the whole neo-classical thing.

VERY well said. The only part i disagree with is the Bob Daisly part. The Osbournes have been the 'worst' of the two, clearly. Those 2 albums should have never been re-recorded like that.
And i agree and have said before : NO ONE (family INCLUDED), is doing sh*t to keep his memory alive....like they all said they would do. If anything...they're letting him fade into obscurity (c'mon...face it...a "guitar" from Gibson isn't going to do it. Kudos to Gibson, but where's everyone else??)
Aside from "tribute", which was a long time ago...there's nothing. No documentary. No outtakes of any kind. No video footage. Nothing. And there doesn't appear to be anything on the horizon either (that "video footage" babble i'm not believing at this point, looks like they're letting that fade as well). The 30th anniversary editions, at least at this point, look to not be much either. The fans already have almost all, if not all, that stuff. Shame on everyone.
