Jackson Rhoads Relic released ?

Post by slobberface »

Never saw any official release date for this beautiful guitar but I just came across this on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Randy-Rhoads-Jackso ... 9....Sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting this...if so just delete. Just thought i'd share with any who wanted to see some better pics of this guitar and what it comes with. 8)

Says it's the only one on eBay, I wonder if this may possibly be the only one for sale at the moment ? I haven't been able to find any other info on this guitar other than the unveiling of it really.

This guitar is far too expensive for the average Joe to buy, only lottery winners and bank robbers could afford one of these. I thought the original had been on display ?. Kelly said before this guitar was measured up for the relic to be made etc. That the guitar had never been touched since the day Randy died ?. A really nice reproduction just a stupidly made up price for a guitar that has been distressed.

hey slobberface i was just wondering what your avatar insinuates?im sure you know that it is very disrespectful to black people..im sure there are many fans of randy who are black, and i really dont know if we have any members here who are..i think its insulting and takes us back to a time that is no longer welcome in this day and age..i mean if you have certain beliefs i cant argue with you because its your belief etc..those can be discussed in private like adults without disrespecting the other persons views..IF you have a certain view on a certain religion race whatever,i just dont think putting an avatar representing what you believe in is a good thing to do....in no way am i calling you a bigot its just that the pic may give a negative view of who you really are..just an observation....Now that damn guitar is wayyyy too expensive for me,but i wish i had the dough to snatch it up!!!!!!!!peace..

I've seen that unveiling video before Guitar Idol, I posted this just in case someone possibly had new info on the release date that hasn't been posted here, or just if someone wanted to see pictures of this guitar in more detail than the youtube vids offer..and yeah, I know the price of this guitar is way too ridiculous for most, myself included. Lol...and to Tito, no i'm not a racist in any way at all....I just think Al Jolson (my avatar) looks funny in 'black face' honestly so I guess sorry if that's offensive to you, I never really thought of it as a big deal to anyone

You are in hot water over your Al Jolson avatar. I think your other one which was somewhat animated in a suggestive way to describe your name... But i cannot see any harm in your avatar.

*Lightened up* ha I guess I just can't tell who's being sarcastic and who isn't? It's all good man...But anyways, I take it that no one else has any info on this guitar rather than the youtube videos? I've been searching and searching and can't find anything other than the fact that this guitar exists, it seems with the 25th anniversary Rhoads it was much easier to come across information..where as this guitar isn't even listed on the jackson website

Jackson should just do a a made in the USA no frills line of RR guitars. Floyd Rose, Seymour Duncans, etc. That's probably what Randy would of gone with. We all know Randy never had a locking tremolo system but if you are going to get a whammy, get a Floyd. Single colors black, white, etc. Like the 2009 tele/strat line of Charvel until they shipped the job to Japan this year...

I don't remember where, but I could have sworn I read somewhere that Randy didn't like to use his tremolo bar. They had locking tremolos back then (Though, not as good as the ones today) so if he liked to use tremolos a lot, he would have had a locking one. Besides, if you've ever heard the bootlegs you can tell he didn't use the tremolo too much. He only used it on the occasional song in little bits.
