Do you honestly think they can just release them and not say nothing to him Lee or the Rhoads. They are the people who wrote the albums, its like how Michael Jackson bought the rights to the Beatles back catalogue. He could do what he wanted with those recordings. Thats why they went to court, do you think the judge would say yeah Ozzy and Sharon you are right resell those albums and take all the profit ?.

Nope, they have to pay Bob and Lee, and my bet is that's what's holding the whole thing up, which is why I was so upset in my last post. $haron just doesnt want to part with any of their millions upon millions of dollars, and as a result the fans get screwed.

Yeah i'm thinking how this will happen because they got awarded performance royalties the last time. But this will be based on sales of the new released albums which a figure cannot be put on until the CD's are pre-ordered etc. A rough estimate of sales figures can be put together. Then a percentage of who wrote what is awarded to the individual band members who have contributed to those songs.( That's how Bob & Lee could use those Ozzy songs on the Living Loud album.) Unless a one time fee only is signed in writing as a session player. Who is giving a cheque with a discussed fee and its signed on agreement, being paid in full ?. Or like someone mentioned it could be the Rhoads who are not happy ?.

Lee played on both the Blizzard and Diary albums. Bob & Lee didn't appear to have played on the Diary LP as they had a pic of the Tommy and Rudy line up on it. I'm sure i'd be pissed if i played on 2 classic albums then i discovered i'd been replaced, with my parts totaly wiped clean. The O's couldn't possibly put this out and not pay the original band. Yeah i can imagine the conversation "Lee's part is restored and on both of the albums. All the original bass parts from Bob Daisley are back aswell. But your not getting paid a nut." Are ok then just put them out i'm cool " FLMFAO...

Where are you getting your information Lee has a writing credit on 'No Bone Movies' and has another 6 credits to him on Diary.
So if that is the case why did Bob say this ?. Quote....
"Lee and I should be paid this time so hopefully negotiations will sort things out and get them moving. Nothing's definite at this stage though, so we'll all have to wait and see. I sincerely hope it's all remedied for the sake of the music, the record-buying fans and of course fair payment for Lee and me."

If they are getting paid for more than their performance this time, it should be because Sharon in one way or another said okay.
If she wasn't such a corrupt business woman like her father, fucking people over. These would of been released no problem and no questions asked.

First time I've posted here but had to ask where you got the information that Bob and Lee signed anything in 1980/81? They sued Don Arden/Jet Records for non payment of performance royalties from the sales of the 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman' albums and lack of due accreditation on 'Diary' and they won their case in 1986 in the High Court in London but still didn't receive the performance royalties that were due to them. As Bob said 'Ozzy and Sharon had been helping us in our original case against Don/Jet from 1982 and continued 'helping' us knowing full well that they owned the rights after July 1983. When they took ownership of the name and catalogue of Ozzy Osbourne, they also inherited the liability of paying us, which they've never done to this day.' When Bob and Lee discovered that their performance royalties were going straight into the Osbourne's pockets, they sued the Osbournes. Bob and Lee were eventually denied a hearing in the Supreme court in the US, which seems like a travesty of justice to me, but the fact remains they've never received their performance royalties for Blizzard or Diary. Bob has always received publishing royalties for his contribution to writing the songs on both of those albums and I believe that is the case for Lee too.
