From what I heard he was already talking for weeks to the guys on the bus that he would take some people for a plane ride when they would stop in Leesburg.........

I think it is a little imature to be critical of Andy because I find it hard to believe that what happened was a suicide taking two inocent people with him!
I feel that all these years later we should accept it happened and it was an awful tragedy for all concerned if we focus on 'Andy killed my hero' we will just be angry and ignorant.

Re: Found this searching for Aycock photos.
This could be looked at in alot of different ways, but at the end of the day the plane crashed and more then one life was taking. This could of been because of the pilot being tired so he said ok i'll have a little pick me up. According to Tommy Aldridge he (Andy Aycock) had a large amount of cocaine stashed in the drivers console / dashboard. That's his words 'what if' the coke belonged to the band. We don't know who was partial to the odd line in the band/crew but we can say Ozzy and Andy for sure. Then Tommy goes and hides the gear in the woods, so the police don't go asking too many questions etc. That's his (Tommy Aldridge) words and if the coke belonged to anyone else it's pure hearsay. Dead men cannot talk and i'm sure his ex wife would of said "Oh! by the way my ex husband he likes cocaine". So it could of been covered up about who the coke belonged too. I know it doesn't matter who the drugs belonged too but if they did cover the story up they could feel guilty if they all had been partying and they all had coke in their systems apart from Randy. Someone mentioned the possibility of Aycock having a heart attack. If he was burned that badly and having to be recognised by dental records and jewellery. Would they be able to tell if he'd had a heart attack. Because the coke could of had that effect on him ?. I'm sure that would of freaked any passengers out never mind doing kamikaze passes over the bus. But it is all based on what has been available on the internet interviews etc. At the end of the day you cannot blame anyone for what happened, it was an accident, not suicide or attempted murder. Even though it has been mentioned thay Andy was trying to kill his wife ?. That would of been impossible and come to think of it, why was she still on the bus when Andy was at home ?. His mansion was at the Leesburg air strip ?.

According to Sharon, Andy was dropping Wanda off in Orlando. Supposedly, Sharon wasn't thrilled about the idea, but relented, as it was a short trek.

Re: Found this searching for Aycock photos.
There's a lot of insight in these posts, and I see both sides. True, Andrew Aycock was a human and his needless passing is also tragic, and Wanda must have certainly suffered more than most people should-geez, didn't know about their son as well.....just awful.
But the other side is also valid. Think about what could've happened even if the plane simply landed after the joyride stunts. The police may have taken the view that Andy might have committed some offences: to fly a plane repeatedly at a bus would = 'reckless endangerment' in many US jurisdictions-the authorities sometimes treat that as a felony. Sure, maybe nobody connected to the airstrip or the band would've reported it, but there were independent witnesses who might have. Then you get into the 'possession of a controlled substance' angle if the cops had've shown up to see what was going on. That's apart from the 'no license' matter-which was taken off him after he was involved in the death of a child in a helicopter incident. That part really saddens me-maybe AA had a chance to learn from that first tragedy, so that the future was better for everyone....

Wasn't Randy afraid of flying? Anyway, there are toooooo many theories on how Andy crashed the plane, from it being just an accident while buzzing the bus to him trying to dive bomb his ex wife. We'll never know what really happened. All we know is that Andy was a crackhead and Airey said " It was no accident" during one of his interviews.

I can solve your "Aycock Theory."Axeman1956 wrote:there are toooooo many theories on how Andy crashed the plane
Driving a tour bus all night, all coked-up - then climbing into a plane he didn't have a valid license to fly (hmmm .. wonder why) - and piloting it like a show-off idiot.
Any other mysteries you'd like solved?

Hey, I don't have a theory... But your theory makes alot of sense.RhoadsRockPhotographer wrote:I can solve your "Aycock Theory."Axeman1956 wrote:there are toooooo many theories on how Andy crashed the plane

I don't think he deliberately committed suicide. But what I do blame him for is his very irresponsible behaviour. I'm not anger our sad because someone killed my 'hero'. I discovered Randy when he already was gone for 5 years. I'm over it. But once in a while when thinking about the accident I can only conclude that the 'pilot' really srewed up......
*would someone forgive me if I would steal a car, without a valid drivers lisence, taking a young kid with me, go with 150 mph stunt driving on the highway and get both of us killed. (not intentially, but because of jugdement error while doing one of the stunts) Did I screw up or what....? Should people forgive me after 30 years? Tough question..... At least people can still say I screwed up, right? (and that's what I say here)
(I can only imagine how this must feel for Randy's family, still after all these years......)

I doubt Rachel was doing cocaine, because if she had a heart condition like we've been told, then I really don't think that'd be good for her.billeci wrote:this being my first post ,,, i have to say that i am unwilling to forget the IGNORANCE of people in the limelight...Randy should have been way smarter than just gettin on a small single engine plane when he was freightened of commercial aircraft? i always say "what was he thinking"? im sure they all knew what was up with aycock and they all were doing blow at the time lets not "sugar" coat this..... Randy didn't do drugs at that point in his life. Maybe OCCASIONALLY some cocaine, but for the most part he was clean. I doubt he was up all night doing blow.

Re: Found this searching for Aycock photos.
The autopsy found no traces of substances like Coke in Randy, so I don't think it was three cocaine fuelled friends, in a plane like the chap a few posts ago suggests.
Even if it was anyway; it is not going to change anything here in the present. Randy Rhoads is gone. He left us almost three decades ago and I am grateful we had him a tall to be honest. This site is way beyond being bothered about Randy's vices. If he shagged Sharon every night and snorted blow with $20 notes, he was still a creative genius and a great guy called Randy Rhoads
NONE OF Us are perfectxx So what?? He was a mortal human...and by all accounts a lovely one at that.
