Yeah that's true, if anyone was to make a signature pedal around him however, then I think the distortion would be the best to make. Thanks a lot, now i'm hungry as well! Can they be alive?

Sounds exciteing a Digitech pedal design in Randy Rhoads honor in his Trademark Polka dot music signature: but if Ms. Rhoads feel that the sound quality does not match Rhoads signature groove well the Company needs to work on that and proberly she just might change her mind. :)

I think that would be great !!!! :D

I would like to see anything with Randy's name on it , or polka dots on it, Distortion, stereo chorus, etc... Especially if they really did sound like Randy...

but then again ... you could just freshen up
an MXR unit yourself. It's just a matter of finding
the proper lacquer for metalboxes :)

This guy in canada made a randy rhoads distortion based on the vintage mxr d+ he's on youtube but its kinda hard to tell what it sounds like from the video when ur not using it on ur amp and messing with the settings for ur tone with it. The pedal is polka dot also...I think he said he sells them online but ill have to check the video when I get home

Why? I love Randy but why does everyone need a RR pedal, RR sig guitar and plugged in to a RR amp? Randy always stressed individuality, finding your own style, tone or personality. Not just steal his - rip him off. Most of his tone was in his fingers. Digitech wasn't even in business, I don't think, before Randy died. That's called a rip off. Slapping Randy's name on it and selling it to make a buck and you lot are like "oh, I want one too." Who cares what it sounds like. Remember to use a tissue you posh wankers!

Could not agree more, much more exciting finding your own sound. Although going back to his sound, you can get really close with any marshall amp and a DS1 maybe with a delay but not absolutely necessary. Depends how much you really want to sound like randy.

Okay the posh wanker comment was a bit of a joke, just so you know. Maybe too much. I did want to make a point here, though. With a delay (long enough) you can achieve chorus, phase, flanger as well as echo and reverb. The analog delays are noisier but have a certain sound. If you prefer digital, then go with it. I have 2 original MXR Distortion + (1 w/LED, 1 w/o) units and they are noisy! I really tried to fit that square peg, when I didn't really like that lossy sound. I do have an original Flanger, Phase 90, eq, etc. and I get it. I'm a fan of EVH as well but I bought an original Flanger w/box for slightly more than a new EVH model. These companies aren't out to give you a good deal and most are out to sell you an idea (be RANDY!)
I'm still trying to play very clean and obviously faster. i know I need to dedicate like 8 hrs a day! If anyone can figure out Randy's style like in the soundcheck or solos, I'd like to know what he's doing and the theory behind it. It weird to say but I don't think even his family knew what he was doing, technically. Aren't there supposed to be ear guys who can pull it out the air?

There's a whole lotta story behind that "failed" wah. If you knew half of it you'd be amazed at how anything with Randy's name gets out there at all. Trolls are everywhere it seems...
